Villa Bassi di Francesco Dal Santo In Zugliano

23/03/2024: An ancient country estate renovated and used as a farmhouse, there is a rustic and evocative atmosphere. I also really liked the interior, which recalls the spaces of the old stables. The menu is seasonal and faithful to the Venetian tradition. In particular, I tried the rabbit in the pan and the liver cooked in a "net" of casing (it sounds bad but believe me, space!) and I found everything delicious. The farmer's starter was also good, with pickles and battered vegetables, although I found it a bit "poor": perhaps a few slices of cheese would have been good. Excellent value for money and the very young staff was attentive and kind. Being a large place I think it often hosts group tables, so especially on weekends it could be a bit confusing.
