Read raving reviews about this place and the crowd, so I came early to be the first few customers at the opening for lunch. The menu is seasonal and changes based on the freshest ingredients they can get. I ordered the grilled lamb and a glass of the local Orvieto Classico. Everything is PERFECT! The bread is perfect too! So delicious that even though I was so full from just the main course, I can't help but have another slice! The grilled lamb chop is the best I've ever had from anywhere in the world (other than the freshly grilled whole lamb in Mongolia)! The lamb was perfectly grilled, it has a crunch on the outside (like roast pork) so when you bite into it, the fat crackles but still very tender on the inside. The fragrant lamb fats ooze with each bite! It was paired simply with sour purple cabbage. You know it's pure good food when it doesn't need much fancy stuff. Marination was just right, not salty at all and you taste the lamb perfectly. Heavenly deliziosa! I wish I had a stomach for more but will have to save it for next time!

We found it by searching for a restaurant on Google Maps and reading reviews while visiting Orvieto. I would say that I can confirm the positivity of what they wrote: excellent cuisine and excellent wines, all in a beautiful and quiet place, with equally good service and friendly staff.

Very nice atmosphere, service leaves a lot to be desired and the prices are not cheap but the food is very good

It was a sleepy evening in Orvieto and the front of the restaurant was pretty empty but the menu was tempting so we ventured inside. They have an inside courtyard in the back and that’s where the action was. The Baffo Orvientano is for bacon lovers and definitely recommended. We had a risotto which was very good as well as the wines.

Nice and well furnished place. Good food but small quantities. Service times, with the room practically empty, very long. We didn't have coffee for fear of staying another half hour! Terrible value for money, too expensive.

Went for dinner. The roasted quail was delicious. There are tables right at the entrance, but please be sure to reserve a table in the courtyard at the back. It's very nice and has a great atmosphere.

Sala interna piccola ma accogliente. I piatti, buoni e ben serviti, fanno l'occhiolino all'innovazione; c'è voglia di proporre ricette con ingredienti sia della tradizione sia insoliti e con tecniche anche innovative apprezzate. Ma, proprio perché c'è la cura dei piatti, non mi sarei aspettata della pasta ripiena il cui 'ripieno' si è perso. Personale di sala giovane, tre ragazze. Il servizio al tavolo è stato attento, cortese e delicato per la nostra esperienza ma l'atmosfera che poteva essere più piacevole e rilassante è stata disturbata dalla gestione disorganizzata delle altre prenotazioni e dal tono di voce troppo alto di un membro del personale di sala.

Siamo stati attirati dal piccolo pergolato esterno, che all'interno prosegue e lo rende ancora più pittoresco. Pranzo del 1 gennaio con moglie e figlia. L'uovo con crema di zucca e yogurt di capra eccezionale!
