Historic Roman restaurant that combines tradition and innovation. Very good dishes. My favorites: the (giant) ricotta and spinach ravioli with liquid egg yolk, the truffled boned rabbit, the caramelized pear cake on custard. But the rest of the menu is also worth more than a taste. Friendly and courteous staff. Quick service. I recommend booking for lunch too. Prices in the medium-high range. It is close to Termini Station and very close to Piazza Vittorio. Parking is complicated, but in via Buonarroti at number 16, there is a private car park that costs from €3 to €5 per hour.

Fantastic italian restaurant with excellent food and amazing staff. Freshly baked bread, cozy atmosphere, and top quality food. Book it in advance if you want to secure of your table.

I have lived in Rome for almost 10 years and this is hands down the best restaurant I've tried. Service is perfect, not intrusive at all but very kind and patient and willing to offer help and suggestions. Food is very well considered and clearly using quality ingredients. Very highly recommended.

A wonderful place … it was such a treat to have dinner 3 different nights at Montis Trattoria in Rome . The food was delicious, and the service, wow … just wonderful!! We will definitely go back , next time we are in Italy ❤️

Sarà perchè mi sono accomodato nella saletta vicina alla finestrella, dove il personale veniva a ritirare i piatti, o forse per il clima amichevole con cui venivano trattati tutti i clienti, ma mi sono sentito fin da subito quasi in famiglia. Personale cordiale ma non invadente. Eravamo in 2, con me un collega, abbiamo visto due bellissimi carciofi alla romana che dopo averli ordinati si sono rivelati anche molto buoni. Poi il mio collega ha preso un raviolo di ricotta e spinaci con l'aggiunta del tuorlo d'uovo, che ha detto essere molto buono, io ho preso le mezze maniche con pecorino e salsiccia che erano proprio buone. Poichè sul ripiano in bella mostra c'era un'invitante tarte tatin di pere, ne ho presa una fetta: strepitosa. Senza prendere caffè o amari, ma bevendo solo acqua ed un quartino di vino, abbiamo speso 73,50 forse un po' tanti per 2 carciofi, 2 primi ed un dolce, tuttavia abbiamo mangiato proprio bene, per cui potrei anche tornare.

Il cibo è anche memoria, il ricordo di piacevoli esperienze passate, di piatti che hanno segnato momenti di vita. La prima volta che sono stato da Monti era il 1983; eravamo un gruppo di amici dell'AIS ed ovviamente avevamo un grande amore per il buon vino ed il buon cibo. Passammo una piacevole serata, gustando delle ottime proposte. È passato un po' di tempo, ma l'altra sera ho trovato nello staff del ristorante la stessa passione che avevo già provato, così come ho ritrovato un piatto sempreverde, il tortellone con uovo, una preparazione molto buona che chiunque ami la buona cucina deve assolutamente provare. Tutte le proposte sono ottime, gustose e realizzate con sapienza. Il servizio è professionale, attento, gentile.
