It is a place that arose a long time ago, when the San Paolo village was a workers' environment. Now it has maintained its popular profile, at least at lunch, with an economical menu, transforming itself in the evening into a place for intimate meetings. The space is not large, very clean and welcoming. Traditional Piedmontese home cooking, with updates on quality. I highly recommend.

Good restaurant, not a huge place but the owner does her best to welcome you whether you are alone (unlike other places) or in a group (it is always better to book in advance in this case). Prices more than fair.

I ate here for lunch with a first course, second course and side dish for 14 euros Fast and courteous service, very good food and above all I ate the breaded ribs, a reminiscence of the past which pleasantly impressed me, if I have the chance I will go back

Caratteristica trattoria come una volta, informale , con pochi tavoli. Pranzo a menù fisso a 14 euro eccezionale costituito da primo , secondo , contorno o dolce, 1/4 vino oppure acqua e caffè. Cucina casalinga come una volta. ottima la trota al cartoccio e favolosa la torta di mele. Da ritornarci

Una classica trattoria di 40-50 anni fa, però meno impersonale, più allegra (e senza la televisione accesa per le partite…). Il menu è sterminato e assai ricco di tentazioni (pesce e frutti di mare compresi), perché la cucina è sia piemontese che toscana. Noi due abbiamo scoperto che hanno la rara benedizione di saper friggere, spazzolandoci subito un secondo: un gigantesco piatto a testa di carciofi fritti: asciuttissimi e croccanti, ma con l’interno ancora morbido… Una meraviglia, di più! Poi due piatti di carne tenera e saporita (saltimbocca alla romana e paillard), e due dessert con gelato (più due bugie, ottime, offerte). In definitiva, quattro secondi, un assaggio di antipasto, dolci, caffè, acqua minerale e un litro del loro buon Nebbiolo (13€): in tutto, 30€ a testa. Non da “wow, che poco!”, ma assolutamente giusto (uno “normale”, che non prenda due secondi e non beva mezzo litro di Nebbiolo, dovrebbe spendere sui 25€…): torneremo di sicuro, non appena apriranno il loro dehors, in un tranquillo slargo a cinquanta metri da piazza Sabotino.
