Trattoria il Grottino da Orlando In Cascia

Visiting Cascia and its Santa Rita is religiosity, having lunch at the Grottino da Orlando is pleasure for the palate, we ordered the "Il frettoloso" menu, abundant and excellent dishes and fast and courteous service, even if the place was crowded! We can only recommend it ❤️💋

I recently tried Il Grottino da Orlando in the center of Santa Rita da Cascia, and I have to say the experience was a bit disappointing. The place is very small and cozy, but the dishes offered were only average, without any particular distinctive flavors. The main issue was the value for money: the prices were higher compared to the quality of the food served. What we ate didn't fully justify the cost of the dishes. However, it should be noted that the service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant. Nonetheless, considering the cost and quality of the food, I cannot recommend Il Grottino da Orlando as a top culinary destination in Santa Rita da Cascia. Great experience in this little restaurant in the centre of the village. Mouthwatering food and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I had lunch in this small restaurant one day with a group of more or less 40 people there. Being only a dining room, the tables were all stuck together with little space and a hellish mess. Having said that, the food is good, the first course was plentiful with wild boar, it's a pity that there was some very strong spice inside which totally covered the taste of the wild boar, the second course I made a mix of meat with potatoes and I must say that it wasn't the best. maximum, the contents of the plate were all cold. Sin!

Ci siamo fermati per caso… (e per fame) in questo caratteristico ristorante di Cascia! Esperienza fantastica, primi piatti da urlo e carne davvero saporita! D’altronde le materie prime sono il massimo. Lo chef, Federico, molisano, ha conferito un tocco da maestro alle pietanze. I dolci, preparati da Ilaria, sono magistrali… la cheesecake non ha prezzo!!!! In una sola parola: wonderful!

Eravamo ad Assisi e abbiamo deciso andare a di visitare il Santa Rita da Cascia. Dopo aver visto il santuario abbiamo cercato un posto dove pranzare. Ce ne sono abbastanza in zona. Abbiamo chiesto ad uno del luogo e ci ha fornito alcuni posti, mettendo l’accento sul Grottino. L’abbiamo ascoltato e ci siamo trovati bene. Ambiente non grandissimo ma accogliente. Personale fantastico, cibi buoni ( grigliata mista, agnello allo scottadito, lasagne con il cinghiale e lasagne con i porcini, dolci, etc..). Prezzo giusto. Da provare.
