Trattoria dei 13 Gobbi In Firenze

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, and I understand why because the food is very tasty and the portions are generous. I love places with "personality", and Trattoria dei 13 Gobbi has lots of items and pictures on shelves and walls to look at when one is waiting for the food. The restaurant is very popular so I will strongly recommend to book a table in advance. It seems that there are very many local guests which is always a really good sign. We will be happy to return here!

Beautiful place, good food and pleasant service!

Pleasant and welcoming environment, with efficient service. Unfortunately the Florentine we ordered was not very tasty and overcooked. The desserts also did not meet our expectations. Very touristy.

Most of the dishes really live up to expectations. The restaurant inside has rather narrow spaces, so it is not exactly the right place for families with children.

Old school ambiance. Dark but intriguing. Service aloof and not very attentive. Lots of overweight Americans (yet again) with terrible table manners and loud voices. Food: Pear and pecorino salad, rigatoni alla sorrentina,  spaghetti alle vongole, porchetta slices with (one small) artichoke, florentine style tripe, tagliata di manzo con rucola. All cooked correctly but nothing exciting. Very short wine list but with logical prices. We finished with 2 rounds of tiramisu which was superb. Only complaint is the fact that they do not have balsamic vinegar... go figure. Was it worth the €55 per head? Probably not but then again this is central Florence. Will I go back? Probably not as the whole experience was positive but definitely not memorable.

Let me just start with this… this has been my second time at this restaurant and I came back cause the food was great. My party and I arrived at the restaurant and the waiter was extremely passive aggressive. We sat down and were given water. We were then given bread when asked “do you mind if I have a small amount of parm cheese” the waiter said “no”. And walked away. He was an older man and we were so caught off guard but we let it slide because we assumed it was a bad moment. We then ordered and the food was great. When given the dessert menu I asked “ so what’s the most popular”. The perfectly English speaking waiter looked at me with a death stare and said “I don’t know like cheese cake or something.” This made me not want to order dessert or give him any other business. He was so rude it was the worst costumer service I have ever received. I don’t know if he was having a bad night or something but this is no way to treat a customer. Not going to write his name…

We got the place recommended by a local friend. However I wouldn’t recommend to anyone else. The food was okay but expensive for what you get. You can definitely get better food out there for less. But the service there was what actually what made it a bad experience and made me not enjoy my time there. The waiter was rude and seemed grumpy. He seemed arrogant and impatient. We felt more like a burden than welcome. We ordered a pasta and some starters and asked if he thought it would be enough food. He didn’t really want to guide us and help and seemed annoyed when asked questions. The worst part was that he came with the check without us asking for it and basically wanted us out of there. Mind you that we had finished our dessert maximum 10 min before.

A lot of people and a lot of noise. The waiters run in panic. The food is good.

Excellent florentine steak, pear salad and rigatoni! Very large portions!

Sono stata a cena in questo ristorante. Ho provato i rigatoni con pomodoro e mozzarella, la tagliata di carne e il dolce. Tutto molto buono, un punto in particolare va ai rigatoni. Il prezzo è un po’ alto ma per una volta vale la pena provarlo.
