With the photos of Nino Rossi hanging on the wall, complete with a dedication to the restaurant, and the newspaper articles describing it as Giuliano Pisapia's favorite trattoria, the Casottel, located inside an old farmhouse in the countryside, is the most Milanese trattoria from Milan. Not to mention the enchanting garden in which to have lunch or dinner during the summer, a spectacle!!

On classic dishes a guarantee, good cellar.

Tipico locale di unavolta alla periferia cittadina. Molto buono il risotto con un ossobuco da urlo, non male neanche la cassoeula. Buoni anche i dolci. Servizio amichevole e casalingo.

Excellent city restaurant with a slightly dated but very authentic style. Good, plentiful dishes and a nice choice of wines from the very friendly owner.

Milanese restaurant on the border of south-east Milan. The interior is rustic, with exposed beams and a large fireplace. There is a bowling alley but I forgot to look for it. Don't make the same mistake as me! The internal garden is very quiet and in summer it is certainly a pleasure to eat there. The informal and homemade approach makes a nice Sunday lunch pleasant. The house wine is valid! Good food, no frills. The price and portions are unfortunately far from the trattorias of the past, but they are average for restaurants. I wasn't thrilled with the parmigiana, perhaps the aubergines were baked and not fried? Giant cutlet they say is excellent. Excellent meatless ravioli but a little small. Tiramisu is no for me, it remains a bit dry. The off-menu yellow cake is excellent. The menu on their website is updated. After lunch I suggest a nice walk to the Chiaravalle Abbey passing through the park to relax (approximately 38 minutes).

Locale spartano e gradevole. Location fuori mano ma con ampio parcheggio. Servizio cordiale, un pochino impreciso ma efficiente. Menu semplice della tradizione. Prezzi da osteria molto onesti per porzioni giuste/abbondanti (31€ a testa con secondo, dolce e vino). La proposta è buona.
