A nice place a stone's throw from the sea and the wine centre.
Excellent food with good portions and reasonable prices. I highly recommend booking as if you want to eat abroad, which I recommend, there isn't a lot of space.

Family-run, excellent local dishes. I would definitely suggest reserving ahead if possible, as seating is limited. Opening hours not always as posted on the internet, but persevere. Recommended.

Typical Trieste trattoria. The dishes ordered were excellent and prepared. All the staff are courteous. I think I'll go back again.

Very welcoming typical trattoria. Simple but good food. I had seafood linguine, mussels, scallops and vegetables. Everything cooked well and in the right quantities

A traditional trattoria. The food is good. The wine fits. The only drawback is the loud music from next door (the trattoria is adjacent to a cocktail bar). Otherwise absolutely ok.

Absolutely highly recommended restaurant.
Today I was in a hurry and not being able to prepare dinner I thought I'd get some fried calamari to take away..
Truly exceptional, crunchy, tasty, plentiful.. Believe me... These calamari were amazing.. Plus there were also two nice slices of polenta.
Super fresh fish.. and very quick preparation to take them home.. Plus they were made on the spot.. No small feat.
A compliment to all the staff.
If you come to Trieste you absolutely must make a stop.

Returning from Slovenia I entered Trieste and right in the center (in front there is the aquarium with parking) there is this very simple trattoria. The homemade tagliolini are spectacular; not to mention the battered scampi tails where the batter was simply sublime! With wine, water and coffee I spent €28.
