the definition of tavern is misleading, dishes sometimes excellent, sometimes not up to the prices, which have taken off. a nice restaurant but now highly favored by elite foreign tourism

The food is ok, but the place is way too aimed to tourist and you can feel it. The atmosphere is nice and the personnel is very kind. Definitely too expensive for regular traditional food.

Cuisine: The cuisine at Taverna Trilussa is delicious and prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The dishes are hearty and tasty, and there is something for everyone. I personally loved the bucatini alla gricia (pasta with salted pork cheek and pecorino romano) and the abbacchio al forno (oven roasted lamb).

My group came here for dinner. I had the award-winning ravioli. I thought it was pretty good. Service was good & staff was nice.

Went here on a recommendation from a bartender nearby. Didn't realize most people get reservations and book ahead but we were shown right to a seat without issue at about 7:45pm on a Thursday. We chose to do the tasting menu and it was fantastic. For 150 a person with wine you get more food than you can possibly finish which made it worth it. We spent 2 and a half hours eating, drinking, taking in the neighborhood on the charming patio. it was a highlight of our trip for sure.

This by far is the best restaurant in Rome! It is a hidden gem in the Trastevere Neighborhood. Although we live in the states, we would fly to Rome just to eat in this restaurant. The food is off the charts! Anything you order, is the best thing you put in your mouth! All the starters are scrumptious, and. All the pastas are amazing, from the cacio e Pepe, amatriciana, to the carbonara,, just delicious. And then there are the meats;the veal cheek is like nothing I’ve ever eaten. And to finish it off, the desserts… They’re all scrumptious, but our favorite is the Mille foglie. They also have a wonderful array of wines, and digestivo following. All this being said, even better than the food are the employees. And this starts at the top with the owner, Maurizio; just a well run restaurant with a great hip vibe and phenomenal food!!!
