I was on Tuesday evening for dinner at the Strainer restaurant in Portofino on the occasion of an award given to a friend, and it was a beautiful evening accompanied by excellent dishes with attention to detail and a staff who was always attentive and punctual in table service, I would say excellent, not to mention of the owner Mr. Carmine, a very knowledgeable and helpful person, friendly and very sociable, the location speaks for itself and I invite you to go and visit him as I will definitely be back to taste his wonderful dishes, thank you Carmine thank you Giuliana for the pleasant evening

An environment with attention to the smallest details, delicious dishes with high quality raw materials, impeccable and super-familiar service made this evening unforgettable. Finding such a friendly, helpful, attentive, friendly, competent service is truly a rare commodity these days. We escaped from the crowd of Portofino and threw ourselves into the strainer. Cold beer and fries sounded perfect. The view is perfect. It's hard to see inside, but the view of the portofono is excellent from here. When you come here, it is definitely a place to have a beer break. It's not a bad idea to try pasta with giant parmesan cheese.
We tried both the truffle pasta and the octopus on a parmesan wheel. It's absolutely beautiful.

The boss speaks French (among other things).
Beautiful local cuisine, without fuss.
Away from the overly touristy center, where prices are significantly higher.
Be careful though, cutlery costs at €5/pers. A glass of white wine for €9.

AMAZING lunch by the water. So calm, away from the tacky touristy restaurants in town. This is true Portofino. Quality food at a leisurely pace. I was sad to leave the last time as I knew I wouldn’t be back again until next summer. The pasta with langoustines is incredible.
