SORGENTE DEL GELATO In Ferrara

At the beginning of May 2024, I was lucky to visit the beautiful Emilian city of Ferrara, a small jewel of Renaissance nature. The town is unique in beauty; it was the European capital of politics, culture, and gastronomy. And it is precisely of gastronomy that I would like to focus on. If you visit Ferrara you must try the ice cream. Living in England, where ice cream is made on an industrial level, I can only recognize the goodness of the ice cream made in Ferrara, which is not only creamy but has a truly unique taste. I was visiting Ferrara with my two sisters, Monica and Sabrina, on May 4th, 2024, the very day of the opening of The Palio with the blessing in the cathedral. We discovered a small ice cream shop with great taste: Sorgente Del Gelato ice cream shop. We returned home with the memory of delicious ice cream and a small souvenir of the glass cup containing the semifreddo. Sorgente Del Gelato, Thank you for allowing us to enjoy such delicious ice cream!

After a year I returned to this ice cream shop and found the new managers, a nice young couple, and I found the ice cream they produce truly exquisite, creamy, tasty and consistent. I love the classic flavors but I will come back to try all the others too.

Great ice cream, but has no seating inside, just something outside. There are a lot of staff so they are quick to serve and then in front there is Piazza Ariostea which is therefore convenient to enjoy the ice cream while walking there.

New management, but the ice cream is still spectacular.. Fair prices and the two owners are very kind and helpful. I'd say it's the perfect recipe like their ice cream. Good guys!

Sono ritornata dopo un anno in questa gelateria e ho trovato i nuovi gestori, una giovane e simpatica coppia, mi sono piaciuti subito e mi è piaciuto ancora di più il loro gelato, una bontà!! Cremoso, consistente, omogeneo e saporito. Io amo i gusti classici ma tornerò sicuramente ad assaggiare tutti gli altri.
