A very nice aquarium with beautiful animals and relatively large and well-kept tanks. I liked the turtle the most and I really like the fact that this aquarium saves animals that would no longer have a chance in nature, e.g. blind turtle. Others can benefit from the prices. €14 per adult, €8 per child

A little small but very beautiful, our 2 year old son didn't want to go out anymore, he always went back to see the tanks with the big fish, it's definitely worth going there

Fun activity to do but expensive for what it is. 14€ for an adult and the tour can be done in 30 minutes

Nice 'small' aquarium, interesting explanation. It's a bit on the expensive side, but I think the money is well spent.

Nice aquarium for when the weather is less nice. Not very big, but nicely set up with attention to the plastic soup in the oceans.
And as the odd one out, they have a fox that was rescued as a pup during the 2017 forest fire in Sardinia.

The Cala Gonone Aquarium, located in the charming town of Dorgali in Sardinia, offers an educational and entertaining experience for visitors of all ages. Opened in 2010, this modern exhibition space is known for being the largest and most advanced in the region. Inside, visitors can admire a variety of marine habitats in 24 tanks, which present a journey from the coastal environment to the deep sea, crossing reefs and open seas inhabited by jellyfish, large snappers and sharks.
Guests can closely observe fascinating creatures such as 'Caretta caretta' sea turtles, which are among the most admired species. Furthermore, the aquarium hosts exotic species such as piranhas in a single freshwater tank and various tropical species in the saltwater basins, which illustrate the biodiversity of coral reefs. One of the most interactive aspects is the touch tank, where you can touch starfish, sea urchins and hermit crabs without fear, making the experience even more engaging.
The aquarium's attention is not only limited to the exhibition of marine species, but also extends to environmental awareness, with a particular focus on the fight against plastic pollution. This commitment is also reflected in the well-kept spaces and in the tanks maintained with great care, which ensure the well-being of the animals housed.
In addition to its aquatic attractions, the Cala Gonone Aquarium also surprises with the presence of land animals, such as a fox saved from a fire and various chameleons, which add a further level of diversity to the visit.
The visit to the Cala Gonone Aquarium proves to be an enriching and pleasant experience, highlighted by the possibility of interacting directly with some of the species on display and by the wealth of information offered on the various marine species and their peculiarities.
