Ristorante San Marco In Valeggio sul mincio

The Gran Cafe San Marco is a guarantee, the cuisine is excellent, the location is amazing. The only flaw is that I would give the waiters' education a once-over... this does not mean that I will definitely return.

I would like to point out that this review concerns exclusively the bar and not the restaurant. I stop at 9:45 in the morning for a coffee and a glass of water. The blonde lady in charge of table service at the bar comes towards me with an annoyed look, I kindly ask her for a coffee and a glass of water and she understands two coffees (my husband was also with me) so I take the liberty of correcting her by specifying that the coffee is only one. He replies with an annoyed tone "Yes" as if to say "I understand, I wasn't wrong". He comes back and of course there are 2 coffees. He didn't understand! So I send one back and she tries to pass it on to another customer who has just sat down to also order a coffee. Obviously he doesn't want the one sent back but one just made especially for him. It seems right to me too! I go to pay (2 euros) with a 50 euro note. Unfortunately I didn't have any change... In a very unpleasant tone he tells me that they have just opened and that he doesn't have any change to give me. Given her really rude attitude right from the start, I'm starting to get annoyed and I tell her that it's not my problem, but theirs. However, I ask my husband if he had a smaller denomination and he gives me 10 euros (even though 50 euros is not 500 but whatever...). He gives me the change almost slamming it on the cash register counter and leaves. I conclude with a consideration: working in contact with the public is certainly not the most suitable job for this lady... and I advise the owner to choose his staff more carefully given the unique and wonderful place in which his business is located.

Outstanding tortellini and very good pizza with a beautiful view of the river and the old city walls. Always happy to come back. 😋😎

The place is very nice with a wonderful terrace and views. I don't know if it was because it was Sunday and there were a lot of people but the service was quite confusing. The eel arrived burnt and therefore bitter with cold polenta. A 20 euro dish should have been respected more However all the portions are small in proportion to the price. The dessert is excellent.

Protein Ants (several 🐜 in the glass) - was replaced immediately. - 👎Tortellini were partly cold, sage leaves weren't crispy, but I would have expected larger portions and better quality for €18 -👍🏽The ambience was very nice except for one or two cracked windows/panes of glass - 👍🏽Staff friendly, large restaurant, good selection of seats, big praise to the employee who stands at the entrance when it rains and greets the guests🙌 - 👍🏽warm, pleasant ambience in the interior invites you to linger -😶‍🌫️Unfortunately, the winter garden cannot withstand the pouring rain shower, it drips onto tables etc. This was my second time there and I will come back because of the beautiful view👍🏽

A good restaurant overlooking the river, good food and good wine with friendly service. Advised

Ho avuto modo di pranzare presso questo ristorante con la mia compagna, durante una gita a Borghetto sul Mincio. Bellissima terrazza esterna sopra l'acqua, in uno scenario da favola. Piatti buonissimi e ben presentati. Se dovessimo ritornare a Borghetto, questa tappa è d'obbligo.

Pranzo di Natale in famiglia. Vista la location e avendo già provato locali di questa “catena di ristorazione” abbiamo prenotato per le feste. Locale molto carino e accogliente, personale fin troppo veloce (via un piatto e subito l’altro senza aver il tempo di digerire) menù un po’ limitato per i nostri gusti. In cassa abbiamo aspettato un bel po’ arrivasse qualcuno e a casa abbiamo notato importi diversi da quelli nel menù. Un vero peccato visto il bel borgo. Non ci ritorneremo
