Esperienza positivissima! Ottimo ristorante a pochi passi dal Duomo con personale molto cordiale, empatico e pietanze superlative!!!! Raccomando assolutamente questo ristorante per la qualità delle materie prime usate, piatti abbondanti, personale super cortese. Ritornerò sicuramente e lo consiglierò a tutti i miei amici.

I passed this store in Orvieto and saw no one inside. I don’t know if it’s closed, but I’m very hungry. I had to bite the bullet and ask if it was open. It turns out that someone has reserved the restaurant inside today. Later, the boss was still willing to let us in for a meal. It means we have reserved the outside restaurant🤣🤣 Andre, the employee in the store, was very kind and helpful in introducing us. They also let us try many kinds of vinegar and olive oil. I ate a lot before the main meal, Thick pasta has a super special texture and is delicious~~~ Later, I didn’t even eat it in Italy. We had great service, excellent food and a fun balsamic tasting, which introduced us to the complexities to the art of making balsamic vinegar. We bought some to ship home.

I came here with a group of EF travelers back on May 16, 2023. The food was good and the service was absolutely top notch. The owner(manager?) and staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large group and make it a memorable experience. Would highly recommend.

A special experience of Italian food. They give a taste of decades-old balsamic sauce and treat it as if it were an ancient wine.

I don't know other restaurants in Orvieto, but I doubt they are better or the same. Wines, pastas, devOliva oil and the best vinaigrette I have ever tried (5, 25 and 65 years of aging). They treated us excellent! Good food prices

Trattoria la Grotta

30/03/2024: Today, together with my parents and grandparents we had lunch in this small restaurant located in the center of Orvieto. The place is clean and I deduce it has been recently renovated, with a simple and rustic but refined style. As soon as they arrived at the table they promptly brought bread and water. We had a total of five first courses: umbrichelli (a type of typical local pasta similar to spaghetti but more homemade) alla amatriciana and umbrichelli alla cave (seasoned with pistachio and bacon). Pasta cooked just right and abundant, fresh sauces. As second courses we ordered two grilled steaks and two mixed salads. These are good too. Then we had 5 desserts (tiramisu, pannacotta and chocolate and caramel mousse) which were also very good. Finally, we ordered 4 coffees and two bitters. The service was excellent: waiters attentive, kind and fast. To underline the professionalism, friendliness and friendliness of the waiter Franco who welcomed us and served us with familiarity. The price, bearing in mind that the restaurant is located in the centre, is modest. Right quality/price.

We tried the pappardelle with wild boar which was really excellent. A plate of pasta each, a side dish, a coffee around 18 euros. Really excellent for the goodness and quality of the food.
