Pleasant, only one negative note about the sunbed half day which only starts after 3pm

Today, on the occasion of the May Day holiday, I decided to take my son and my partner to the restaurant. Although we often frequented the place for the playground, we had never had dinner there. Before making a reservation somewhere new, it's my habit to check online reviews. I noticed some negative opinions with few stars, but I found it strange since two days before I had seen some dishes come out and they looked delicious. So I decided to give the restaurant a chance and booked a table this morning, despite the uncertain weather. When we arrived, there were only a few tables and it was pouring, but we were greeted kindly. The menu was available online, so we could check both dishes and prices before sitting down. I must say that we ate really well: we ordered three first courses, fried fish and calamari, as well as a dessert. We accompanied the meal with a bottle of excellent wine, fresh and at the incredible price of 18 euros, which you can't usually find for so little. The moral of this experience is that the food was excellent, the service was courteous, polite and even friendly, and the final price was more than fair. Compared to other establishments, where you pay more for first and second courses, here we got an excellent quality-price ratio. Therefore, I contradict those who have left negative reviews. It's true that there might be times when the place is crowded and not everything is perfect, but it's understandable if the season is still starting and they are experimenting.

Historic restaurant in Maccarese. Above average cost compared to the others but if you want to eat by the sea this is it! First discreet, they are normal, without any type of exaltation. Service not online, kids wandering around the tables and often losing orders, making people wait too long from order to service. It is appreciated in moments of calm and not at the weekend. Very crowded.
