I accompanied two couples of New Yorkers in search of their Bivona origins. Mr. Calogero served a typical salad with olives and onions, arousing Ann's joyful emotion in tasting that "memory food" whose recipe was handed down to her by her grandmother and which she now proposes again in dinners with her friends in New York. Mr Calogero also managed to track down a relative for a meeting at the restaurant. A most welcome surprise! Thank you very much from Ann and from me ❤️

I stopped for dinner here while cycling through Bivona. Excellent food and such a kind owner and chef. He really went above and beyond to help me order even though I couldn't speak Italian. Thank you!!! Would highly recommend

Small place run by a husband and wife with unparalleled hospitality. The food is stratospheric, first courses with a varied choice of sauces all strictly homemade, second course with meat not from the supermarket but from the local area, a Caponata to which you have to give a lei and, last but not least, a dessert invented by Mr. Calogero: a peach with sheep's ricotta that is difficult to describe in words but I still have it in my taste buds. Super recommended for every palate, even the most demanding! Thanks also for the chat and for giving us some caponata to enjoy at home tonight. The price for 5? All super earned and plus he even gave us a discount!!!!!
