R’ Mazelao Firenze In Firenze

Small atypical restaurant unique in its kind that revolves around Lunigiana cuisine and more specifically on panigacci, a round-shaped unleavened bread cooked on a terracotta called testo. The place is small but well organised, welcoming and clean, with staff who are very accommodating and friendly. The advice for a satisfying experience is to choose a menu, which always includes unlimited panigacci and different combinations of cold cuts, cheeses and even salmon: recommended, even if a little expensive (€25), is the tasty menu which includes cold cuts of various kinds, Certosa (the one actually nothing extraordinary, a more artisanal stracciatella would be nicer) and as an appetizer a panigaccio with pesto and bruschetta with honey, walnuts, gorgonzola and red onions, to create a truly perfect mix of flavours. Ultimately an unusual restaurant, not cheap but worth trying if you are in the area.

Well looked after place, we ate a lot and the waiters were very kind! The panigacci were fabulous and the cold cuts were quality! Advised!

Con colpevole ritardo scrivo questa recensione. Siamo ritornati da R Mazelao dopo qualche anno. Il menù è stato ampliato e ci sono anche numerose qualità di birra fra cui scegliere. Abbiamo scelto i panigacci coi salumi e quelli con il lampredotto, davvero squisito. Peccato non aver assaggiato il panigaccio alla nutella, ci ritorneremo. Bene anche il conto.

Un locale molto carino, caldo ed accogliente. I panigacci sono molto buoni. Porzioni abbondanti. Il servizio è gentile, affabile e attento....insomma ci sanno fare. Bravi! Si torna presto.
