Piedigrotta In Pavia

While walking around Pavia on May 1st, we entered the restaurant by chance, they immediately found us a place, and what can I say... a welcome as if we had been friends forever, attention to the customer, and the fish dishes were truly special, all very good. At the end the owners greeted us with a handshake!!! To return!!!

My favorite fish restaurant. Fresh pasta with already shelled fish, amazing appetizers, fried prawns and best calamari ever eaten. Endless stars.

What to say? Here you feel at home, thanks to the typical southern welcome and hospitality and the good dishes served with generosity. Good quality and preparation. You leave the place happier.

Booked a table for three people, when we arrived the very small place was already full. The owner had not reserved the table we booked. Lack of professionalism and correctness.

Last night dinner with my wife, on the advice of a colleague we try the Piedigrotta. Nice place, few tables. We take mussels marinara, seafood appetizer and oysters as an appetizer. Fabulous mussels, ditto the seafood appetizer. The oysters didn't convince us. As a main course we take the Piedigrotta scialatielli with already shelled fish. Good. Like wine a Greco di Tufo. Fair prices, it's a shame that some courses are ordered for a minimum of 2 people so if we wanted to try scialatielli and another first course it couldn't be done so we were forced to take 2 scialatielli. A little bad. If I have to find one thing that didn't convince me very much, it's the waiter (Indian facial features) who didn't convince me. Hasty and without or very little empathy, unlike Mario the owner who often came to ask if everything was okay and (I appreciated) immediately brought us another basket of bread to appreciate the sauce of the seafood appetizer. At the end of dinner Mario always offered us bitters and grappa. Good boy! So as a final vote it is passed. To try again.

Very typical place with a varied and detailed menu, regarding the menu offered a very affordable price, in the dining room the management and friendliness as well as competence of the owner give that touch of personality, while in the kitchen the scheff and wife of the owner manages to create high quality delicacies .

Lo definirei un ristorante di cucina casalinga napoletana. Piatti molto semplici con un buon pesce. Le porzioni sono abbondanti. Il locale è un piccolo e non c'è molta privacy tra i tavoli. Il servizio è in tutto sommato buono.

Sono stata a cena a gennaio presso questo ristorante in settimana. Piatti buoni, niente di speciale ma sicuramente ottimo ristorante dove mangiare pesce a buon prezzo. Soddisfatti!
