04/06/2024: Rather messy service for a quiet Saturday evening in my opinion, they sat us at a table for 2 on the dock just next to the service table where they keep provisions and everything else for the outside, a constant bumping of our chairs at every passage without ever a hint of apology or anything. Courses arrived at random (hot Bayon appetizer) practically decidedly old molluscs, a parmigiana with fish (in my opinion the fish was indecipherable given that they were pieces without identity thrown into the bowl) where the cheese prevailed over any flavor clearly coming out of the oven recently but prepared days in advance because the fresh stuff doesn't burn on the outside and is lukewarm on the inside, they mess up the dishes by taking the dish away first then realizing the mistake by bringing it back and finishing the starter (brought back the 2nd parmigiana to apologize for the mistake, which I didn't eat) . We continue the evening with the now tidy Bayon fireplace, guaranteed with molluscs and crustaceans, made in a sauce that was taken from the one in the parmigiana, 2 half-open mussels full of sand (my bad luck, my wife's were clean according to her ) some shapeless fish that ended up inside among the molluscs with the sand from the mussels as a filling, a crab divided into 2 people weighing 150 g in total, a bed of clams that I got bored of cleaning by the 5th as they often tasted like grains of sand. I was impressed by the Google reviews and even more so by the experience. Too bad, nice place with real potential.
17/05/2024: Excellent discovery, a restaurant on the canal between Cervia and Gabicce where they "know what they're doing".
Very fresh raw materials, well-kept location and very kind staff (a particular mention to Giuseppe).
The first evening we ordered mixed starters: various courses with an exceptional balance between the raw materials fish, vegetables and sauces, an indicator of a chef who "knows what he's doing".
Second evening grilled fish and créditée which speak for themselves (see photo).
Last but not least, a dream trifle (shame I didn't photograph it).
Will I go back? Obviously yes
