Osteria Sopra Il Mare In Genova

As soon as we arrived they presented us with a stuffed squid (which would prove to be one of the best dishes) and served mediocre focaccia, with a rather anonymous and rubbery flavour. Specifically about the dishes: we ordered a mussel Impepata (small and average in quality); some strozzapreti from the osteria (tomato, mussels, clams and pesto) in a generous portion, but little persistence of the seafood; a good cod with two tomatoes, the best dish; a mixed salad and a dessert (the choice of desserts is too limited, for example the sorbet is also missing), a Sicilian cannoli of mediocre quality. To accompany the dinner, water and half a liter of house white wine for a total of €53.80 for two (1 starter, 1 first course, 1 second course, 1 side dish and 1 dessert) after correct application of the bill. It is an intimate place with few dishes on the menu and a cuisine that is sometimes unconvincing and passionate, although some dishes can be improved upon, while the service is formal and courteous and the prices are interesting (especially with the application of the discount). I would say a place for 6 and, honestly, I have often eaten better in Genoa.

I went there for dinner with three friends on the recommendation of a true Genoese. Informal and welcoming place. Very well cooked food (particular mention for the fried foods). The owner Nicola also knows how to find excellent wines. We drank a truly satisfying white wine by Andrea Bruzzone. Excellent value for money

Second time, small tavern in the center of Genoa. Few tables, great food.

The pasta was really excellent, the fish really not so good, too bad. Really poor service, we had the impression at 1:50 p.m. that they were in a hurry to close.

Ci eravamo già stati qualche hanno fa e non saprei dire se nel frattempo la gestione sia la stessa, comunque ci siamo trovati bene come la volta scorsa. Abbiamo preso le trofie con il pesto, il merluzzo in due maniere diverse e gli spiedini fritti, da bere il vino della casa. Abbiamo speso a mio avviso il giusto. Il personale gentile. Ci ritornerei.

Good food could have been better apart from one dish which unfortunately didn't go well but the rest was all good. Service quite well. Very welcoming environment.

Spaghetti neri con tonno fresco(abbondante) acciughe impanate (tante) 13 euro, dolce ottimo, servizio cortese. Ho visto passare un piatto al pesto con sopra una bella tartare fresca solo 16 euro. Ci ritorniamo.

Io e mio papà Dario abbiamo mangiato un'ottima pepata di cozze, un buon primo di pesce e delle acciughe ben fritte. Il locale è accogliente e carino (peccato per le colonne rosse). il servizio cortese. posto consigliato!
