Osteria Gnagne Sese In Udine

Exceptional Trattoria/Osteria on the outskirts of Udine: beautiful internal and external environment, very enjoyable garden, informal, large but very nice, excellent quality ingredients, cooked well and well served, portions of the right size: between the right amount and slightly abundant, personal courteous but also friendly, wide choice of wines. There were two of us: the chicken thigh was so good that it outclassed everything else, despite being very simple (I devoured it without even adding salt or pepper), tagliatelle with basil pesto sauce, asparagus and bacon... perfect . The place lends itself both to an aperitif, to a midweek lunch (there is also a set menu), and to a romantic dinner. In some sections of the garden, the canal flows near the tables, it is magical to stay there and let yourself be lulled by the sound of the flowing water. Conclusion: highly recommended and ... we will be back!!

I went with a friend, around 6pm on a weekday. We decided, given the wonderful sunny day, to sit outside. Two tables and chairs were damaged by ants, which shows the lack of care given to the furnishings and to the customers. The tasting was in line with the reception. Canapés with low quality bread (it would be enough for the bread to be heated to enhance the cured meats, or cold but of excellent quality). Not having enough, we ordered some frico. The frico was visibly burnt to a uniform level, dry and almost tasteless. Overall, the food was terrible while the glasses of wine, the schiopettino and the refosco were very good.

Very kind staff. The rustic place as befits a respectable branch inside a well-renovated stone and brick building. The food is of correct quality with slightly small portions (nouvelle cuisine type). The menu received only in Italian. The exteriors with great potential but decidedly neglected. Presence of a cove that gives a Nordic touch. Let's say that in my opinion there is ample margin for aesthetic and functional improvement. I forgot, the bread is not of high quality but on the other hand it is not in the tradition of rustic places.

Nice place, made of stone and wood, with a summer garden outside Udine. The cuisine is excellent, with a good choice of dishes, with seasonal products and good wines from local wineries. The artichoke pie and the toc in braide with asparagus are very tasty. The blecs with wild garlic sauce and burrata are good, tasty, the pasta al dente has an excellent consistency. The frico is a Mr. frico. The staff is friendly, the price is more than excellent. Osteria that definitely deserves 5 stars.

A little off the tourist "routes", the tavern allowed me to taste truly delicious cjarsons, in a nice and welcoming location you can find excellent quality food and wine, definitely worth returning!!!

I went for lunch on Saturday with a friend of mine. We ate really well. All delicious and well served by the very friendly staff. Definitely coming back...😊😊

There is an excellent friulian food menu and an even better wine list. Great garden outside for the good season.
