A very cozy and very nice Osteria. We eat good dishes. The lunch menu is excellent and you spend the right amount.

Couple's lunch May 2024.
The tavern is well kept, clean and charming.
The staff very kind and helpful.
The products, however, are delicious, all high quality and first choice raw materials.
The white asparagus is special, not to mention the ravioli filled with Varzese. How tasty.

Torrazza Coste, a town in the Oltrepò Pavese probably little known to most, but which hides a very interesting Osteria with traditional cuisine worth trying in the central square.
The room, on the first floor of what from the entrance could almost seem like a bar, is very warm, welcoming and sheltered from street noise. It's very relaxing.
The staff, very attentive and kind, offers carefully prepared local dishes, closer to a high-class restaurant than a real tavern, but with the taste of traditional dishes.
It all started with a nice and tasty "amuse bouche", while waiting for the order.
The cold cuts, both the classic Oltrepò ones and the pure goose ones, were of amazing goodness and quality, not coming from me, but from my companion, originally from the area and connoisseur of the raw materials of her lands. Enjoy accompanied by an inviting basket made up of different types of bread.
Very refined and tasty first courses, both the ravioli from the area and the spaghettoni with broad beans and pecorino.
After the first ones, I would have liked to dare with a second one, but honestly I was already full.
I then let myself be tempted by a delicious and well-structured dessert: a shortcrust cake with pastry and very tasty chocolate flakes.
Honestly, we will have to come back to taste the other dishes that intrigued us a lot.
The wine list is well-stocked, with choices that allow any wallet to enjoy a good wine, all with an eye on local producers.
I highly recommend it.
I would say booking is highly recommended.

Very pleasant lunch on this gloomy day: tasted excellent local dishes but also exquisite vegetarian preparations, accompanied by an appropriate bottle recommended by the owner, with adequate service, a warm welcome, despite the place being fully booked. To underline the good quality/price ratio.

Typical inn from beyond the Po. Delicious and excellently prepared cube. The owners' passion can be felt both in the service and in the dishes, all prepared with local products. Highly recommended! The risotto is one of the best I've ever eaten.

Il locale è davvero affascinante, la classica osteria di un tempo passato. In cucina invece la tradizione viene ottimamente innovata con piatti di qualità. Buona la carrellata di salumi, davvero notevoli i piatti di ravioli, tagliolini e cappellacci. Unica pecca i tempi di attesa, ma il locale era decisamente stracolmo. Consigliato

Ma che bel locale! Ambiente che scalda il cuore, rustico ma nient’affatto privo di stile, una isteria vera dov’è ci si sente a proprio agio. Cucina tipica del luogo e qualità super. Antipasto davvero succulento con salumi dell’Oltrepo e la schita, un accompagnamento buonissimo. Poi spaghettonj con broccoli e acciughe. “Scarpettati”. Buttafuoco storico, vista la giornata tipicamente invernale. Servizio molto gentile e professionale, conto appropriato. Due alternative combinabili fra loro a pranzo: menu del giorno o alla carta. Mi ha davvero colpito e lo stra consiglio.
