Osteria dei Centopoveri Restaurant and Pizzeria In Firenze

Nice place and very good price. The food (spaghetti) was missing, but I don't know, if so the money.

My wife and I stumbled on this place one evening as we explored Florence. It is somewhat unassuming, and we were about to walk on by when the incredibly charismatic Claudio suddenly appeared. They had no tables available, but his friendly demeanour caused us to stop for a chat. He assured us a table would be ready soon and in return for waiting a few moments, he offered a free cup of wine! After a brief wait Claudio brought us to our table and we were introduced to our server, Dovi. He is a very friendly young man, originally from the beautiful country of Albania. He provided us with a level of service that goes far beyond what one would expect. To say we were treated like royalty would be an understatement. I know a few reviews mentioned feeling slighted because they did not speak Italian but that was not our experience. We are from Canada and do not speak a lick of Italian. If anything, they made is feel like we were locals who had been coming there for years. Beyond the exceptional service, the food was equally amazing. Despite very reasonable prices, the portions were huge, and the quality was top notch. My Florentine steak was absolutely massive and was prepared perfectly. We also had pasta, wine, charcuterie, and a bean side dish, all of which were excellent. We finished off this memorable meal with a nice dessert accompanied by cappuccino which Dovi made extra special with a shot of Amaro Nardini. I do not usually spend this much time on a review, but I feel compelled to share just how excellent this place is. We dined at many great restaurants during our time in Italy, some much fancier, but this one is at the top of our list! If you find yourself in Florence please drop by and experience all this wonderful restaurant has to offer.

Top quality/price ratio. Got the fixed menu. It's really worth it. Generous portions and excellent options. I was thinking of a place for tourists in the centre, which obviously there are, but I must say that a true Florentine like me was surprised. A small note: the wine in the flask could be better. It should be noted that they do not accept reservations, they open at 12.00 having read it on the internet at around 11.40 we were not the first. But if you know it, you adapt. Thank you. Osteria famosa per il rapporto qualitá/prezzo e non é un caso... tutto ottimo, le mezze maniche all'amatriciana, la trippa, per non parlare dei dolci, mi son preso sia il tiramisú che la cheesecake ai frutti di bosco !! ....ho apprezzato anche il vino, un buon rosso corposo e giusto, in 6 abbiamo speso 108 €, non é un caso che fuori c'é sempre la fila ad aspettare che si liberi un tavolo, non ultimo, anche il personale é sempre all'altezza, educato, preciso, veloce, bravi davvero ! La formula é azzeccata e la gente apprezza, io per primo :-) :-) :-) torneremo.

Ottima locanda. Prezzi modici e piatti gustosi. È molto richiesto e si rischia di fare la coda all'esterno. È un po' come mangiare a casa propria.

Luego de un extenso recorrido por el Palazzo Pitti, terminamos en este restaurante ya que se encontraba cerca de nuestro hotel. Como muchos locales gastronómicos de la ciudad, Ostaria cuenta con un menú del día que cuenta con 2 pasas (entrada y plato principal), por lo que postres y bebidas quedan aparte. Pero amén de eso, es sumamente económico y cuenta con una gran variedad de platos (pastas, carnes, pescado, etc), por lo que es para todos los paladares. Por otro lado, es un local bastante concurrido, por lo que si van en temporada alta tengan la previsión de intentar reservar una mesa.
