Unfortunately, this is a total tourist trap. I followed the reviews on Google and it sounded like an authentic Tuscan meal, but this restaurant is geared toward serving tourists, specifically Americans. We had many meals throughout Florence and Tuscany that were truly authentic, but I would describe this as the type of Tuscan restaurant you can find in New Jersey. The food isn’t bad it’s just average and very clichéd. There’s very little in terms of homestyle or creative Tuscan cuisine on the menu. It was also missing a little things like the balsamic vinaigrette was something that you could buy at an American grocery store and not what you would expect in Florence. The staff does a great job and no issues with the service at all. Interestingly, it was the most expensive meal we had in Italy, while also being the least memorable.

We went looking for another place that we couldn't find. We liked it from the outside and even though we didn't have a reservation, they treated us wonderfully. Very friendly. The food was great and we didn't find it expensive. Highly recommended

What a fantastic surprise. My wife and I are staying only a few days in Florence and we had a hotel right down the street. We saw the Google reviews and decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately we should’ve made a reservation because the place was packed. The waiter told us to come back in 30 minutes, so we took in the sunset on the bridge and came back later. Not only did he remember us, but brought us back immediately and served us a glass of Prosecco while we waited. The food wine and especially the service were excellent. The stuffed zucchini flower was amazing! And even though we didn’t order dolce, we were brought some lemon sorbet and yummy biscotti. These little touches really made this into a special evening. Thank you all so much!

Probably one of the best restaurants in Florence!

Absolute recommendation. We would have loved to eat here every day if we hadn't been traveling outside of Florence. Be sure to try the zucchini blossom as an appetizer! Very well seasoned, great consistency, tasty sauce. The Florentine steak was delicious, very tender and grilled to perfection. Absolute highlight: truffle pasta! The noodles tasted great and also had a great bite. The sauce of the hammer and the truffles were very fresh. This wasn't skimpy either. The best truffle pasta I have eaten in Florence. The waiters are very attentive and accommodating. We were even allowed to open the wine we brought with us (€12 fee).

I did not have a dinner reservation for any place on this date of 9/6/2023. I remembered a place that had been highly recommended to us by some fellow guests at our hotel. We showed up at 7:30 pm without a reservation. Place was not busy so we were able to be seated immediately at a lovely table. I really liked the ambiance of this place when we arrived and my feeling continued to when we left. The staff are extremely friendly and very willing to offer information about items on the menu and/or offer recommendations. Along with the usual bread basket we were presented with fried bread pasta bites? I know our server explained this to us but all I can remember is how delicious these bread bites were! We might not have finished all the bread in the basket but these bites were quickly consumed. For drinks we are a pretty boring couple. My husband got beer-Poretti and I got a glass of the house wine-red. We're happy with our choices but my husband says he really likes Peroni beer best. For appetizer I see fried zucchini flowers on the menu. We get that. They were so, so tasty. I ordered the filet mignon-done medium. It was perfectly cooked as I had requested. It came with roasted potatoes and swiss chard. My husband decided to order the fish of the day. Drat! I didn't make note of what kind of fish this was but he said it was very good and not overcooked. His dish came with roasted potatoes and vegetables. Dessert. I got the tiramisu which was yummy. Every bite was a joy. My husband decided to go with gelato. Out of the flavors on the menu he chose pistachio. He said it hit the spot. Perfect way to end our meal. All the food was terrific. Service was spot on. At the end of our meal we got complimentary almond biscotti and limoncello shots. We also got a small bag of the almond biscotti to take with us! So glad we came here. By the time we were leaving it was very busy which wasn't a surprise given the quality of food and the excellent service provided. Cost 108€/$116.68. Highly recommend this place.

Highly recommended by locals, a great restaurant for Tuscan food. Be prepared to pay a bit more for the excellent service and food and drink all of which was outstanding. Each course was superb from the Osso Buco to the pasta and the beautiful semi soft biscotti.
