I was happy with the food, I had polenta with ribs and baked loin, strudel with cream. Polenta and roe deer and meringue.
Simple suitable for everyone, it is a relaxation point for motorcyclists. With a few more kilometers you arrive on Mount Penice at a Sanctuary where you can enjoy a wide panoramic view of the hills and valleys...

I've been going there since I was a child with my grandparents, and today you can still breathe that air of times gone by.
The food is good, the cold cuts super.
If you are looking for a starred restaurant, forget it, but if you are looking for a place to eat something homemade and genuine, this is the right place.
I read reviews of people who talk about rude staff, I've never had any problems, I think it's a question of approach..

Evening trek with the CAI of Codogno to Monte Penice, it was supposed to be a snowshoe hike, but in the absence of snow, it was resolved with an evening excursion, starting from the square in front of the "Lo Scarpone" restaurant, the starting and finishing point, a large number of participants 60 people, after two hours of walking you arrive at the antennas and the church which commands an excellent panorama, the return at 8.45pm for dinner at the restaurant mentioned above; braised polenta / wild boar / roe deer and mushrooms, dessert, wine (an excellent Gutturnio) water, coffee, bitters €20 per person all delicious, the important thing was to spend an evening in company.

Locale spartano con tavoli di legno fuori e cibo ottimo. Devo dire che non ho trovato nulla di negativo. Servizio cortese e veloce, prezzi bassi, menu vario e cibo ottimo. Noi abbiamo pranzato fuori al sole visto la bella giornata, ma c'è anche molto spazio dentro. ideale per motociclisti ma anche per chi non ha grandi aspettative e ha bisogno di fermarsi per un pranzo senza troppi fronzoli
