We had lunch in this restaurant which we expected to be typical of the area but in reality we had to change our minds because there was nothing special on the menu but almost only "national" dishes. We order an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses for two people but they bring us 3. As there are no noteworthy first courses, we continue with a 1.5kg Fiorentina to be divided into three. Rarely cooked (could have done better) and more than sufficient quality but it was clear that it was not a fine cut... after all, for €40/kg you absolutely cannot expect more. Basically, if I had to consider only the price, I would say that I had a wonderful time... but since all things need to be considered, I feel like giving it 4 stars out of 5.

At Castruccio you eat well!!! Well cooked dishes and a good variety of choices, the pizza is equally good. The environment is very welcoming, with courteous and always available table service. I advise!!!

The welcome and service were very friendly. The food was delicious. We had one of the tastiest bruschettas ever here and the pizzas were also very tasty, good in taste and nice and thin. We will definitely come back here!

It doesn't actually get any better. Authentic, prepared with a lot of dedication and, above all, inexpensive. The service was also excellent.

What can I say in my opinion in Scandicci is the best pizzeria and the best restaurant. The menu hasn't always been the same for years, the food is excellent and the portions are generous. The staff... after a while they are friends. I advise.

Ad Ottobre ho soggiornato in famiglia a Scandicci. Dopo aver letto le ottime recensioni, abbiamo deciso di recarci al Castruccio per cenare. Posso solo definirla un'ottima scoperta. Un ristorante dall'arredamento semplice, gestito da un personale gentile e accogliente, che offre piatti della tradizione toscana con un eccellente rapporto qualità-prezzo. La bella esperienza ci ha spinto a ritornare a Dicembre in occasione di un soggiorno di visita a Scandicci. Abbiamo cenato al Castruccio non una, bensì due sere consecutive. In un panorama gastronomico attuale che vede affollati ristoranti anonimi che offrono piatti moderni e ad alti prezzi, il Castruccio si fa riconoscere con la sua genuinità.

17/03/2024: Amazing place! Truly the typical genuine tavern. On Sunday without having booked I try my luck and at 11.50 I go in and ask for a place for 2 people! A gentleman tells me that everything is full but that if we sit down immediately something will be prepared for us and then of course we will sit down! Shape of pecorino on the cutting board on the table with the knife to taste as desired, together with the red wine and water while ordering and 2 of us opt for tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and truffle, potato tortelli with ragù, and a sliced ​​meat and herbs to share. Abundant and tasty first courses, juicy and delicious cut and accompanied by good sautéed herbs. We also take a dessert, vin santo digestive and coffee and leave after paying 20 euros each... amazing! The atmosphere is typical of a truly pleasant osteria, fast service and above all praise for the waitress who, full of spirit and friendliness, brightens up the lunch! We will return without a doubt

20/04/2024: Delicious food and the staff is very sweet and helpful. The carbonara with truffle is the best I have ever eaten. A hidden treasure in the center of Florence.
16/04/2024: Such an amazing experience! The food was incredible and authentic. I was taken good care of and recommended il peposo with pici. Sooooo good, 100% recommend!
