La Pentolaccia In Roma

Restaurant in the center of the capital offering authentic Roman cuisine and more. Cozy place and friendly staff: ideal for a lunch or dinner with family. Highly recommended!

The decoration is old. The dishes are bland and uninteresting, even in the city center you can find better for less with homemade pasta. Our waitress smelled very strongly of tobacco. In short, disappointing, only positive point, open on Sundays and public holidays.

Authentic Italian food, with wonderful old-world vibes. Vincenzo and Fahad our waiters treated us beautifully on our last night in Rome. The pasta was fresh, the sauces simple and delicious, my husband had Osso Buco. The ingredients are excellent. Yummy wine and dessert too. The outdoor patio was cozy and lovely.

This was a Rick Steves' recommended restaurant, and he should rethink his recommendation. The host and waiter did not tell me the specials. The wine on top of the list was just so-so, for over €30. The octopus salad was ok but I didn't like the saltimbocca. The tiramisu choked me with cocoa powder, the the milk for my Americano never arrived. Very disappointed.

We arrived tired at this place which immediately gave me an excellent impression from the outside. We ordered a bottle of water, a plate of carbonara (I personally requested the different pasta format i.e. mezze sleeves) and one of tonnarelli artichokes and bacon. They also brought us some bread which however we saw as having a supplement. Now, apart from the DIRTY glass (and not with water stains) found on the table (which they seemed quite irritated about and I don't know if it was because it was their mistake or because we pointed it out) and apart from the bread that with these premises in my opinion it should be noted, I ate divinely. Very large servings, incredible flavour. I would absolutely go back. Anyone who works with the public knows that it's not easy but a kind smile never hurts! Ps: we paid 31 euros, fully satisfied.

I didn't make a reservation, but thanks to the staff's consideration, I was able to get in after waiting for about 15 minutes. I think you should definitely try the seafood pasta! I was impressed by how much more umami and seafood flavor it had than other places I had eaten at. Of course, the vongole was delicious, but the seafood pasta was overwhelming. As it was my last meal in Rome, I wanted to try gnocchi, so I ordered it. It didn't suit my taste, but it was delicious when eaten with cheese. Be sure to try the seafood pasta here!

We spent a few days (family - 10 people) at Hotel Flavia, so La Pentolaccia became our favorite restaurant and Mani our best waiter! Delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere, Mani always welcomed us with a smile, even when we stopped by very late for one drink. Thank you very much and best regards!

Die leckerste Carbonara die ich je gegessen habe, sehr authentisch. Alle anderen Speisen waren ebenfalls sehr, sehr lecker. Hervorzuheben ist auch die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Ein sehr schöner Abend in guter Atmosphäre.

Tutti fanno la carbonara a Roma, ma bisogna essere capaci di cucinarla come si deve! Alla Pentolaccia sicuramente lo sanno fare, ho potuto gustare una carbonara davvero ottima, una delle più buone che io abbia mai mangiato, per non parlare dei saltimbocca poi. Locale curato e accogliente leggermente fuori dalle "rotte turistiche" quindi tranquillo, camerieri super gentili e titolare molto accogliente. Davvero consigliato se andate a Roma!
