LA PATRIZIA BREAD COFFEE In Giardini-naxos

Café/pastry shop at the top of a side street 100 meters from the beach. Cheaper and more varied that the ‘by numbers’ beachfront places. They seem to do their own baking and have tavola calda stuff ready made to serve for lunch. Good coffee and friendly staff. I don’t eat meat so missed out on a speciality of Sicily ( I assume) that consists of a square of yeasted bread/pastry with 2 corners wrapped over a portion of chips, some tomato and a spliced frankfurter. Baked. Brilliant idea that I can see taken up by an inspired chippy back home.
