Old taproom, resurrected as a restaurant! Few places, but that's not a flaw, anyone who goes there to eat is treated like a guest in the family. Here too, you can breathe Florentine air, I dare say pure!
The kitchen opens at 11:00 and closes at 15:00 for lunch only, quality/price OK!!!
The Peposo is fantastic, the Biscotti di Prato are a fairy tale😋😋😋😋😋
I went back and had lunch there with gusto!😊

We found this small historic trattoria near the center of Florence. As soon as you enter you immediately smell the delicious smell of cooking just like when you stay at grandma's. Very small place (practically 5 tables) very good and simple typical Florentine dishes. I recommend the very good house wine and only €2 per glass. The problem arises at the time of payment where, as I didn't have cash or asked to pay by card but was denied even though there was a POS behind it, in the end they made me pay by card in an annoyed manner. However, I recommend excellent and local food right from a tavern (I recommend cash 😂)

We had spent the morning in the Uffizi Gallery and had a related afternoon ticket-time at the Academia Gallery. We walked most of the way between the two and located this place for lunch. It was rated well and was open for a slightly early lunch (it was a bit before noon on a Saturday). It was within a couple of blocks of the Academia Gallery and was probably 4 or so blocks from the Duomo.
There was no exterior seating. The interior was mostly lit by daylight from the windows and doorway. It was not expansive and had simple wooden tables, chairs, and benches. The menu was listed on a chalkboard and likely changes ~ daily? The proprietor was helpful in describing dishes somewhat, as needed. A local lady (grandmother?) and her young grandson showed up just before we finished. This wasn't surprising as it seemed like they were catering to locals maybe even more than tourists.
The food was simple, but fresh and tasty. I think I just had my noodles with Pomodoro. Everyone liked their food.
Before we left my wife asked if they had a restroom. From her description afterwards, this was almost a side quest. The proprietor provided a key and guided her outside and up some stairs. There was then a very small restroom under the landing, but you had to turn the key 3 times to unlock it... It was amusing. The place is in an older building, so I'm sure they had to adapt to the architecture that already existed.
If you are visiting nearby museums or the cathedral area, this place is definitely worth a stop.
