Right behind the cathedral in a quiet location, this restaurant is run by very kind and welcoming staff, so much so that they immediately make you feel at ease. A well-assorted menu with interesting fish dishes and a good selection of wines. The linguine with clams and prawns that I chose were excellent.

Good vines, good antipastis and pastas ! If you have not reserved you might queue a bit. Generous plates, friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Located in a quiet area too, outside is also nice to eat. Would recommand

Amazing food and a choice of great wines from the region. My stomach hurt in a good way. I couldn’t choose so had everything. The service may feel a bit hasty but it was mainly efficiency due to the crowds wanting to dine here. Great location as well. Would definitely recommend.

Restaurant very well located just behind the cathedral in a quiet alley. We ate very well: I ordered the pasta with swordfish ragout and the black pork as a second. The choice of wines is wide and the red wine recommended to us was excellent! I was also delighted to be able to chat with a friendly person from the restaurant who is Mauritian. I thank her for our nostalgic exchange about Mauritius.

Booked for 6 people including kids between 10 and 15 for a busy Saturday night at 6pm. The staff are so friendly, efficient and helpful to begin with. There is a large range of food options but all fresh to order. I had the Bruschetta to start and Calzone Al Forno. So fresh and delicious and the pizzas are massive. All reasonably priced and the atmosphere was great. Crackers provided though not a Christmas party which was lovely to get into the festive spirit! Would definitely go again and all family that travelled were delighted. Thank you!

Ristorante dietro alla Cattedrale. Location molto carina, con tavoli all'aperto. Personale gentilissimo. Piatti della tradizione siciliana, abbondanti. Tempi di attesa un po' lunghi ma ne vale la pena. Prezzi nella norma. Consigliato

Al Rifugio

18/05/2024: Perfect tip for eating out when tourists are working. The owner lovingly explains the regional dishes.
02/01/2024: Rustic gourmet. With these two words you can summarize the entire culinary and environmental concept present in this small but welcoming place. The raw materials are rustic, the dishes derive from the rustic Tuscan tradition and beyond, the portions are "rustic" in quantity and the environment is also basically "rustic". However, everything is reworked and embellished by the experience and excellent taste of the chef and all the staff. This is found in particular combinations of flavours, in the cooking methods, in the choice of some raw materials, in the presentation of the dishes themselves up to the choice and placement in the environment of small and refined decorative gems waiting to be discovered. Everyone is friendly but never "baroque" and this also increases the perception of familiarity and "warmth" that you can breathe in there. A true gem to be savored!
