LA Farinata dei Teatri In Genova

The small, ancient establishment, located in Piazza Marsala, has 4-5 tables inside and outside, while the menu (posted outside) offers very few dishes (savoury pies, farinata, pan pizzas and some desserts) . We stopped for lunch and ordered/shared an excellent farinata (€7/half portion), a delicious savory pie (€9), vegetable fritters (€12), a tasty pan pizza (€8) and a pear in red wine (€6) of appreciable flavor with 1 bottle of water (1/2 litre/€2) and 1 clear Moretti beer (€4.50/33 cl.) we spent €40 for two, absolutely acceptable for what is consumed and for the city average. Since it is a very small, essential and spartan place, it is not suitable for romantic meals or trendy snacks... for those who appreciate simple, no-frills things...

The farinata is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, highly recommended for tasting an authentic Ligurian farinata. The savory pies are also spectacular. The environment exudes all the historicity of the place. The staff is courteous, friendly and attentive. Recommended for all lovers of Ligurian cuisine!

Un posto davvero UNICO Perché la qualità non si può discutere, poche cose ma fatte in maniera egregia. La farinata è straordinaria, le torte salate sono un capolavoro perché cotte nel forno a legna che gli dona un tocco di affumicato davvero particolare, la pizza nel tegamino è buonissima e non smetteresti mai di mangiarla, dei dolci semplici come la pera cotta ed i cantucci chiudono una cena piacevolissima che puoi condividere con altri avventori visto il numero ridotto dei tavoli, servizio semplice ma veloce per dar modo a tutti di cenare in fretta soprattutto prima del teatro.
