La Castellana In Castello d'agogna

First time in this restaurant for a family lunch (four people), we were all delighted by the dishes, starting from the appetizer (boards with cold cuts and cheeses, pear mustard mousse, stracchino cream and various appetizers); continuing with the first courses (pappardelle with duck sauce and ravioli with citrus fruit filling, both excellent) and the only second course ordered (an excellent stuffed hare leg); lunch accompanied by a couple of bottles of really good Bonarda; finally: tiramisu, fruit tart and meringue to finish in style. Prices in line with the market and absolutely adequate for the raw materials used and the skill of the chef. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

We booked and tasted the goose tasting menu and were satisfied with it. Special, refined and home-made appetizers, generous portions and excellent quality. Difficult to get to the end, given the quantity and satiety! Excellent and proportionate prices. Helpful and kind service, perhaps the only flaw is a little slow. Clean bathrooms and a spacious and welcoming room.

Already been! An experience to repeat every time you want to eat well! A la carte lunch with excellent choices. Good wine list. Highly recommended!! An exceptional cut with Breme onion!

Very nice restaurant inside and friendly and helpful staff. Very good Sunday lunch Wonderful chestnut tagliatelle like the final cake. I didn't stay so I can't rate the rooms

Menù piacevoli e vari anche quelli a prezzo fisso. personale cordiale e svelto, e inoltre i prezzi sono adeguati

Cibo particolare con ottimi piatti a base e'oca

Dietro l'apparenza di una semplice Locanda di paese si nasconde un ristorante apprezzabile, con cucina legata al territorio. Si entra in una grande sala rivestita di mattoni, con molte fotografie e addobbi natalizi. Il menù prevede una degustazione oppure piatti alla carta. Molto interessanti i piatti a base di oca, il prodotto tipico di queste zone, che viene servito sia negli antipasti, nei ripieni dei ravioli o come secondo. Noi abbiamo assaggiato il risotto con carbonara Lomellina, ovvero con zabaione salato e fettine di oca affumicata al posto del guanciale. Personale molto gentile ed accogliente.

Abbiamo scelto la Locanda per la classica cena pre-natalizia tra amici. Menù concordato, con vino incluso in bottiglia (Barbera del Monferrato) tutto molto molto buono. Servizio attento e gentile. Da tornarci!
