La Buca di Bacco is a very welcoming and unique restaurant because on the underground floor there is a cistern of Etruscan origin for collecting rainwater (visiting it is exciting). The dinner was excellent, the service very attentive but also friendly. I recommend the cacio e pepe and truffle umbrichelli... the pigeon is really good. Thanks for the nice chat and the bitters kindly offered.

Looking for a restaurant, all packed, we stumbled upon Buca di Bacco by chance. A bit of a wait and we are called to the table. Skeptical start. I was thinking of the usual rip-off given to tourists. Too crowded etc. Instead, to my great surprise, I changed my mind. I ate a truly spectacular carbonara with umbricelli. Compliments to the chefs and the courtesy of the staff. Highly recommended. P.s...the cave below is beautiful.

Having two boys with celiac disease, finding an AIC restaurant in Orvieto was a nice surprise. All dishes are also available in a gluten-free version. After the local cold cuts and cheese platters, we had tagliatelle with wild boar sauce, porcini umbricelli and Umbrian sausage in both the normal and gluten-free versions. Simple but good dishes, generous portions. Friendly staff.

For those looking for where to eat good gluten-free food in peace while visiting Orvieto. Simple environment, courteous staff and.....super nice owners!!! Excellent tourist menu choice. Too bad, being a trattoria, there is no choice of "house wine in a carafe"

con un gruppo, ci accoglie sorridente la titolare .. violetta.ci mette a nostro agio, ci da la possibilita' di visitare le cantine, poi ottimo antipasto ricco e di qualita, fettuccine al ragu' di chianina spettacolare, un'arrosto di maiale porchettato che si tagliava con il cucchiaio... prezzo molto buono, torneremo presto...........

16/08/2023: Swimming pool well looked after down to the smallest detail, I must say that with the new management everything has improved, from the new sunbeds, to the umbrellas and above all the lawn is very comfortable. The only flaw is the hydromassage pool is no longer functional, a real shame. Well-stocked bar with everything (sandwiches, wraps, fruit, etc.).
19/07/2023: Located on a hill, ventilated and cool. This year (2023) the restaurant part is not operating although there is the possibility of eating something.

05/11/2023: Here you can not only eat well, but also visit an Etruscan well under the building (Pozzo della Cava = well of the cave), as well as caves that were used as storage cellars in the Middle Ages. If you don't want to climb down, a glass floor in the house offers a view down. The food was very tasty, the service was friendly and you could dine outdoors behind the house undisturbed.
11/08/2023: To tell the truth, it's the smallest restaurant I've ever eaten at... but very welcoming and original. Our table was positioned directly over a well, what an effect😁 The pasta is homemade and I appreciate it very much, the "fssciagialla" wine is homemade but equally good I recommend it. It's an important step and you won't regret it.
