This was the best restaurant I have EVER been to. You cannot go to Florence without going here. Every single thing we ate was delicious and the waitstaff was AMAZING the food was AMAZING everything was perfect.

Claudio and the entire staff welcomed us like regulars. This young staff is so professional and well trained they made recommendations of wine, appetizers, main dishes and desserts which were amazing. They take the dining experience to the next level. They provide a local service on unseen in restaurants today. This wasn’t a meal, it was an experience and thank you all for including us on this amazing night.

As a foodie, I do thorough research on restaurants - especially before travelling - and tend not to explore many IG-geared hotspots. In this case, it was part of my honeymoon, so the pressure was on. This place was *HANDS DOWN*, 100% worth the hype (including the "John Travolta pasta") and was perfect for a special occasion meal. The food was outstanding, the ambience light, bright and cozy, the service great, and the staff quite warm, making it all worth every penny. Thank you to the folks at Il Profeta for such a wonderful experience!

Absolutely incredible!!! Amazing service, the staff have great jokes, we even took pictures together. The food was amazing, especially the “John Travolta” vodka sauce. 😊

Service was unmatched and the food was excellent. We ordered the shrimp in saffron sauce, Parmesan and pear pasta, pappardelle with wild boar, and the Florentine steak. The restaurant was kind enough to split all pasta orders for us in half since there were two of us (so the pictures show what each person got). On the pricier side but overall worth the experience! I do not think the John Travolta pasta is worth the price though. If you see any other photos, it’s only
3 pieces for 44ish euros. Try any of the other dishes and I think it’s worth it!
Edit to add we saw someone post about them not accepting credit cards but had no issues with paying with Visa or Mastercard.

Such a special restaurant in Florence. I went here 4 times when I studied abroad and the food is incredible and the service is exceptional. The staff is so nice and brings you unlimited fresh warm bread and may surprise you with more food! The famous John Travolta pasta really is worth every penny. Il Profeta is so special and holds so many amazing memories and delicious food!!

Het eten was lekker, maar niet uitmuntend, en de bediening was erg aanwezig. Wel heel vriendelijk, maar het voelde toch als dat je onderdeel geworden was van hun show in plaats van dat je met je tafelgenoten weg was. De prijs was mijns inziens te hoog voor wat je kreeg. Twee gangen met samen een bordje van zes amuse, één glas wijn en één glas frisen een fles Pellegrino kwam uit op € 190,- Oh ja, ook nog éen espresso gehad.
