We certainly didn't have a bad meal and the place is pleasant, but overall we were a little disappointed. We took two mixed ground appetizers, and unfortunately the fried food was dripping with oil, making it difficult to eat. The first ones were very good. The waiter didn't bring us bread and we had to ask for it (other tables also brought small bowls with contents unknown to us, because we didn't receive that either). In retrospect we realized that they also made a mistake on the receipt, €8 for a small Ichnusa is unthinkable.

Tidy and well-maintained place, helpful and courteous staff. Quality food, good combinations, refined and well presented dishes. Lost in the lower Po Valley but you can get there easily. Maybe the slightly high price

We went to this place on Easter Sunday. Nothing to say about food and service, but when it came to the bill I found it unfair that we charged the children for the full menu even though they only ate a plate of pasta and strawberries. They could have notified us when ordering.

I visited it for dinner with my family and friends, curious to taste its dishes, I must say that the food is good, I ate the excellent first courses. The prices are reasonable, the elegant, bright location is excellent, the elegant cuisine for very refined palates, the dishes are presented with style, the rooms are very clean, the staff is qualified, very friendly and helpful, always ready to satisfy every request, the owner, a friendly and kind person, was able to recommend excellent dishes, good service, panoramic view, I recommend everyone to go there.

Nonostante sia poco lontano dal paese in cui sono cresciuta, ho scoperto Hostaria San Carlo solo grazie a una vecchia puntata di "4 Ristoranti". Ho deciso di andare per un pranzo in famiglia verso la fine del 2023, per poi tornarci più volte sempre in famiglia. La location è molto carina, immersa nella campagna cremasca (forse non facilissima da trovare per chi viene da fuori), arredata in modo essenziale ma con gusto. Il menu è stata la vera sorpresa. Include una selezione di piatti della tradizione con rivisitazioni moderne e qualche influenza nordeuropea. Buonissimi i salumi del territorio, ottima la carne (cotta a meraviglia in tutti i piatti), saporita la pasta ripiena, interessanti i dolci. Un posto in cui tornare e ritornare, fino ad aver provato tutto il menu!

Excellent trattoria with a refined taste that teases the palate! Many dishes to choose from on the menu which is truly complete. Enjoy excellent meat dishes. Slightly expensive. Good service with correct waiting time.
