Giorgio In Viareggio

I had wanted to go to dinner at Giorgio's for a long time but I must say that I was a little disappointed... The place is not very large and it was crowded with tables very close to each other. Fast service and friendly waiters. The dishes didn't make me crazy, the desserts definitely worth reviewing....

Historic place where you can appreciate the typical cuisine with dishes that draw from tradition with the use of fresh ingredients and a valuable showcase displaying the catch of the day available for the preparation of a good variety of fish-based dishes but also with an assortment of meats. Attentive and professional staff with a dated venue, furnished in a typical 60s/70s style but pleasant with plenty of period photos and posters that evoke events characterizing the history of truth.

My favorite restaurant in Viareggio, the formula of the starters that come to you 2 at a time and which seem to never end, is well-established, successful, and in addition to the pleasure of enjoying the excellent dishes, from the red prawn to the pancakes of I don't remember which fish, from sea bass tartare to fried prawns and again and again, there is time to chat in peace with your partner between one course and another. Congratulations therefore to Guido the owner who has made his restaurant a certainty in Viareggio where you are forced to always return because after a while you feel the call.

Truly excellent fish restaurant, true Viareggio cuisine

Giorgio is an old and well-known restaurant in Viareggio. It deserves to be remembered because you eat excellent fish. The service is accurate, but on Saturday evenings, when the restaurant is crowded, there is a risk of waiting too long.

Excellent restaurant. Abundant dishes. Quality and variety. Service not too sophisticated, and it's unfortunate not to have menus to consult and know prices. Particular location with theater posters and paintings. Advise. Better here than being fleeced for eating little in Forte dei Marmi and Marina di Pietrasanta. Ps the starters were excellent

Excellent fish menu. I recommend only appetizers and slightly warmer first courses.

Posto storico, da anni ci si mangia il pesce, a prezzi non bassi ma i piatti sono gustosi e il pesce buono e quasi tutto fresco. Cucina tradizionale locale, ottima la trabaccolara e il vecchio scoglio, non demeritano la zuppa e i naccheri. Gli antipasti con luci e ombre ma mediamente buoni anche essi. L'unico dolce sentito è una mousse al caffè assolutamente godibile.

Mi sono recato da Giorgio , per la seconda volta nel giro di 2 anni , in occasione del compleanno di mia moglie. Siamo partiti da Firenze per una bella giornata di mare e per una bellissima mangiata di pesce : conoscendo il posto abbiamo prenotato in anticipo ( lo consiglio vivamente). Locale storico di Viareggio leggermente defilato dalla passeggiata, ma una garanzia . Il locale si presenta tempestato di quadri su tutte le pareti e vino con etichette pregiate , caldo accogliente e sopratutto si mangia molto bene. Abbiamo ordinato 4 primi diversi e a che dicono le recensioni preceeenti non abbiamo aspettato tanto, il tempo giusto per cucinare 15 minuti circa. Gli spaghetti alla trabaccolara , specialità viareggina , lo consiglio ad occhi chiusi, frittura asciutta e di qualità. Il pesce è freschissimo tanto che all’entrata il banco del pesce è ancora dentro le cassette del peschereccio. Carta dei vino buona, per il prezzo non economico son sincero , ma la qualità si paga.
