Restaurant located at the beginning of the path that leads to the Cave-Church of San Giovanni D'Antro. Nice and comfortable interiors, very good dishes prepared with local products, kind and attentive staff

This is the place where all wild herb enthusiasts, from Friuli and beyond, should go for dinner. In addition to the breathtaking location, on top of a majestic hill overlooking the Natisone Valleys, inside this place is intimate and welcoming, with stone walls and very traditional furnishings. The jewel in the crown is the staff, very kind and available to answer all your questions and needs. I found the starter very tasty and special, with cured meats and herb omelette, absolutely recommended. Then I had a second course, the rabbit roll, really excellent. My fellow diners also said they were wonderful about the spaghetti with wild garlic pesto, which among other things is the strong point of this restaurant. The thing I liked most was the boiled ostrich, which had a sweet and surprising filling, even if by choice they are not dipped in butter to avoid making the dish even more caloric. Sometimes, however, it's also nice to spoil yourself with a few extra calories, and perhaps this is the only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars. Having said that, I would recommend everyone to go there!

Spectacular location, the food is seasonal so you have to return several times to taste all the delicacies made with local products. We ate very well, from starters to desserts. Absolutely recommended!

Genuineness, goodness, hospitality, kindness, originality, flavour... you can find all this at GASTALDIA d'Antro, right down to the dessert, and in any case the Angus is excellent.
