Enoteca Da Giannino In Stresa

We ended up coming here more than a few times while on holiday an holiday in Stesa. Relaxed bar with comfy sofas at the main piazza, fantastic for people watching or just waiting for the rain to stop. Extremely friendly service, great food and very reasonable prices for their wines. We wanted to try a few more local wines from the region and got excellent recommendations from the waiter ( do try the Sauvignon from Piemonte, it's fantastic!)

This is a wine bar in Piazza Luigi Cadorna. We found that the wine was very reasonably priced and the service was excellent. The owner buzzed about, keeping an eye on all the customers, ensuring the best of attention. We visited the bar three times in the week, a recommendation in itself. This is strictly a soft drinks/ wine/beer/spirits bar i.e. do not dare ask for tea/coffee, although you would be unlikely to miss the several “no coffee” signs around. It is an excellent place to sip a wine or two and watch the hustle and bustle in the adjoining square. If you want good food, the bar has a few tables a few metres away in the square.
