We crossed the Alps through the St Bernard tunnel to have lunch at Edi's this first Friday of May 2024. It was snowing lightly when we stopped at the old ski lift station/restaurant on the Swiss side of the tunnel for some urbex photoshoot but once down at the restaurant, temperature had risen to 16 degrees and we were warmly greeted by Edi and his kind and efficient staff. Pasta with black truffles and duck were on our plates, served with a local red and followed by panna cotta with blueberries. Unfortunately, they had still not opened the terrace from which you have a wonderful view southwards over the snowcapped mountains north of Torino. The place is popular with people from the cantons of Wallis and Vaud so book your table to be able to enjoy the company of the owner both in person and on the artwork decorating the walls. Highly recommended.

Home Always on top! The boss is always so friendly and the Aosta Valley family cuisine is excellent!
I don't really recommend it otherwise we will have more space!
Thank you Eddy, you deserve the success you have!

Very good food, warm welcome, lamb chops, a delight. Snails, a killing as the young people say, see you soon.

Chez Edi in Aosta Valley is a hidden gem worth discovering. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality. The menu boasts a delightful array of local dishes, each crafted with care and bursting with flavor. I particularly have enjoyed their homemade pasta dishes and the locally sourced meats (carpaccio is a must). The cozy atmosphere adds to the dining experience, making it perfect for a gathering with friends. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend the perfect wine pairing. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Chez Edi is a must-visit destination for food lovers.

We had the boss's menu and it was fantastic from start to finish. An avalanche of regional products, each better than the other. Perfect service, masterful cuisine, top wines and all that for €60 per person. Address to be marked with a white stone.
