27/03/2024: I am from Romagna but have been transplanted to Veneto for 30 years, a return to my native lands and a lunch with my wife at Vecia Cantena D'La Pre'. We took simple dishes, dishes from my childhood. A bruschetta, excellent in everything, from the right "searing" of the bread to the mix of flavours, a tagliatelle with wild boar ragu, rough, generously seasoned, thick and cooked... like my mother's, I was moved.
Finally, a tasting of cheeses, among which a 30-month pit-matured cheese stood out, and this is where they brought us piadina and piaVina, an evolution invented by chef Barbara, you can't tell the pairing with the cheeses, you can only taste it . All while drinking a Sangiovese... well, it was born as a cellar, granted it was up to par.
Lastly, the price is very honest.
