Typical tourist place, with high prices for Sicily. Excellent service, very friendly staff.

I don't know why this place doesn't have a higher rating it was PERFECT. The pasta aglio was so delicious, the service was friendly and impeccable, and they even gave us bruscetta and almond wine tastings on the house. I would go back here in a heartbeat, it was the best food we had in Taormina.

This place offers an average experience, though that's quite good considering that the surrounding area is a tourist hotspot packed with much more overpriced, average restaurants. My steak was ok--not overcooked and dry, but made from low grade meat. The staff is nice, but they do get very busy.

One evening in May: very warm welcome and service, the servers are adorable. Delicious pasta carbonara! The dishes on the other tables looked really appetizing. The setting is very beautiful: careful decoration, tablecloth and subdued lighting. Clean and modern toilets. We were offered a brushetta as an aperitif and a digestive after our coffee. We are very pleasantly surprised since the restaurant is on the main road. We highly recommend and thank you again for the warm welcome. We had a blast!

What a nice surprise to find a restaurant of this quality on the main shopping street of Taormina! It’s good, even very good! The welcome is really up to par. I really recommend.

A gem in Taormina. Best restaurant we ate in Taprmina. Everything we ordered was amazingly delicious. We had meat, fish and pasta and shared. I recommend this place and will surely visit again

Den vielen sehr positiven Kritiken kann ich mich anschließen. Der Service und die Lage stechen sicherlich heraus, aber das Essen und vor allem die Weine sind maximal Durschnitt. Alles, was es hier auf der Karte gibt, kann man ohne jegliche Kocherfahrung selbst zu Hause zubereiten. Wir hatten eine Fischplatte, die total durch gegart war. Zu erwähnen bleibt, dass sie danach anstandslos neu gemacht wurde. Aber es nervt nun einmal, wenn man sich erst einmal beschweren muss. Die Weine sind eher untere Mittelklasse, dafür aber recht teuer.

A Cannata

23/04/2024: We have just left this restaurant, the owner Santino welcomed us with extraordinary kindness, we ate very well, their baked fish with escarole as a side dish absolutely top notch. The icing on the cake were the Sicilian cannoli. Over the top. Prices more than accessible. Absolutely recommended without any reservations. Thanks to Santino for everything.
06/04/2024: We were taking a small drive around the island of Salina when we were recommended to visit A Cannata for lunch. With not much open on the island at this time of year, we weren’t surprised that it was empty — but we were pleasantly surprised when the owner, Santino, kindly welcomed us in anyway and offered the full menu for lunch. We had a brilliant four course meal, consisting of delicious antipasti, freshly cooked pasta, fresh seafood, salad and of course cannoli for dessert. Everything was beautifully prepared and given with true Sicilian hospitality. We mentioned we were researching family history on the island, and Santino went as far to bring history books from his own home and call a local historian to make a connection for us as well. The restaurant itself was incredible with perfect views of the ocean, the food was divine (best we had on the islands!), but it’s Santino that really gives this place its warm and welcoming character. Even as someone who lives in Italy, this was a very memorable experience and we can’t wait to go back — but next time we’ll call ahead!

12/08/2023: Da Pina Ristorante nel centro di Panarea, disponibile una bella bella terrazza, tavoli con i colori tipici della Sicilia. Voto complessivo 8 Servizio molto cortese ed efficiente (voto 8) Carta dei vini discreta. Dalla cucina abbiamo scelto: Fritto misto da condividere, leggerissimo e freschissimo (voto 9), Gnocchi di melanzane gustosissimi (voto 8.5), spaghetti con vongole, salsa di patate e pane cunzato , leggeri e saporiti (voto 8.5), spigola con crema di patate (voto 8). Cucina ottima, ingredienti di prima qualità, servizio cortese, locale fresco ed elegante. I prezzi sono quelli tipici dell’isola, sui 30€ a portata, ma la valutazione complessiva lo rende per me il ristorante migliore dell’isola. 674€ in 9 persone, rapporto qualità prezzo valido (voto 7.5) Consigliato
15/07/2023: Location che lascia estasiati, ma anche il palato viene ampiamente soddisfatto: abbiamo pranzato in questo spettacolare ristorante con un gruppo, quindi il menù era fisso, ma siamo stati deliziati ugualmente: tutto eccellente, alla prima all'ultima portata. Speriamo di tornare presto, lo straconsigliamo!
