What is more significant? The Renaissance or the spritz sandwiches from the national bar? Jokes aside, the national bar is most likely the Bar of Padua, of the people of Padua and of all the tourists who pass through this city. Located in one of the corners of Piazza delle Erbe, the national bar is famous for its tramezzini (partition, placed between two things that divides) which are one of the symbols of the city. A girl from Padua once told me that until you eat Paduan sandwiches you haven't eaten a real sandwich. Holy words. The prices are low and the sandwiches, although small, are very filling and really tasty. Prices range from €3 to €3.50 I highly recommend washing it all down with an excellent spritz which for the Venetians is like water for the rest of the world, essential. Ah obviously the sandwich to try strictly HOT!

Pleasant bar with fair prices. Delicious tramezzini and drinks. Difficult to get a spot in the late afternoon. Understandable, it's comfortable to sit here.

Very nice place with lots of seats, but given the location it is not guaranteed that you will be able to find a seat easily. As for the partitions, they are truly delicious, especially if grilled. The price is in line with those of other places, the staff is kind and polite.

If you want to eat the best sandwiches in Padua you must come to Nazionale. This bar is located in Piazza delle Erbe. Every time it is a challenge to find a place, you need to have a little patience. The sandwiches are delicious; I always order them hot. The one with porchetta and aubergines is my favorite. I recommend everyone to come here to the Nazionale. Small flaw…. The chips in the bowl were old.

Un piccolissimo bar che gode di una vista privilegiata su piazza della frutta. Ottimi i tramezzini caldi. per i miei gusti troppo ghiaccio invece nello spritz. Servizio quasi inesistente poiché i tavoli sono pochissimi rispetto alla media degli avventori. Si finisce per consumare velocemente in piedi.
