La fama non è stata all'altezza delle aspettative, un'anonima "tavola calda" con prodotti in media, nulla di particolarmente eccezionale.

Bar Ernesto was always renowned for the quality of its drinks, ice cream and tavola caldo. It is located opposite the sea, although current roadworks do obscure the view. We went for breakfast, it was very busy and staff seemed overwhelmed. My cappuccino was 90% foamed milk with hardly any coffee in it, making it tasteless. A croissant filled with pistachio crème was small, somewhat squashed and flaky to the point of being difficult to eat. We had far better breakfasts at less established and cheaper bars nearby .

Nuova Trattoria del Forestiero

31/10/2023: Non capisco come si possa affidare un'attività tipica a due persone straniere. Non posso concepire che la cucina tipica siciliana mi venga preparata da un ragazzo di origine indiane e non ha nulla a che vedere con il razzismo. Sono gentilissimi e accoglienti ma io cercavo la signora Rosanna e le sue ricette.
16/08/2023: Nirgendwo in Sizilien so gute Casarecce ala Norma (Pasta) gegessen. Selbst gemacht nach altem Familienrezept - das schmeckt man! Zudem recht günstige Preise. Die längere Wartezeit ist ein Wermutstropfen, wobei dies der fabelhaften Köchin Rosanna nachgesehen werden kann. Sie kocht mit Hingabe und das schmeckt man!!
