Bacchus In Catanzaro

December 31, 2023, my husband and I are walking around Catanzaro to have dinner, by chance we meet 3 Milanese guys, with the same problem as us, everything is closed, there's no food tonight, we don't give up and throw ourselves into this challenge... finding a little something to eat. I called Bacchus, the owner told me that if we arrived in 5 minutes he would make us something to take away. Let's run, When we arrived the owner decided to give us a hand, (it was closing) we thought of a little something....... we ate divinely, quality products, from carpaccio, to prawn tempura, to salmon with potatoes and yoghurt sauce, to cod and even the dessert, managed to satisfy the vegan needs of a Milanese boy. Then speaking we discover that the city of Taranto brings us together. There are no words to describe this end of the year. In addition to excellent food, it is nice to hope for a world that helps itself. Paid very little. We will definitely be back net3

Excellent everything, food and company

Place: simple, welcoming and warm atmosphere, dark chocolate colored room, lamp on the table, romantic dinner with soft light. Dinner: we started with the aperitif not knowing what to expect. All good! From smoked salmon on a bed of boiled potatoes seasoned with Greek yogurt sauce with chives and onion. From then on, many fish-based delicacies and two interruptions with mixed goat's cheese and buffalo cream. After all that overview, the final piece: grilled sea bass fillet with onion chips. We were super satisfied and surprised by such goodness. The owner and chef takes care of the cooking and service. It's too much? No. He can handle it very well as an exceptional man, trained in catering, friendly, cultured and also an artist. The BACCHIUS is a real gem for the winter. You go by reservation only. There are 20 seats. Then in summer you can dine outside. I hope to return soon for dinner. But in winter because I love this little room. I advise! NB. The desserts are also excellent.

Excellent, truly special dishes, excellent service in a romantic atmosphere. Very suitable for a romantic dinner for a couple or between small groups of friends/colleagues if you want to try new things and innovative cuisine.
