The dishes are very tasty, but the service is a disaster. waitresses are too arrogant to remember exactly what wine you ordered or to remember that you asked for the bill. and when you remind them, they behave rudely. and as they pass you, they will give you a Dolores Umbridge-style smile.

First meal in Venice! I had read a lot of good reviews so I decided we should give it a try! We shared starters of octopus and soft shell crab. Both were excellent, in particular the soft shell crab dish! For mains, I had the spider crab tagliolini whereas my hubby had the calf's liver with polenta. He really enjoyed his - portion was generous and even though I am not usually a fan of liver, I have to admit it was quite tasty. However, I was slightly disappointed with the pasta as it was a bit on the bland side and slightly soggy, in my opinion. I think it was mainly because I had very high expectations for it! Finally we had dessert of gianduia (tasted like an extra chocolatey Nutella) ice cream and the dessert of the day - a custard tart with strawberries and vanilla cream. Both were a hit with us - tasty in their own way. The gianduia was very decadent! Service was decent considering how busy the restaurant was. Staff were attentive and friendly. Prices are on the high side (about 80 euros each, excluding drinks) but it is meant to be a more upmarket place. All in all, a good start to our long weekend in Venice! Time to walkabout and attempt to burn some of this off!

If you love yourself, treat yourself to a dinner or lunch in this wonderful Venetian restaurant. It will be very difficult to find an available table but when you succeed you will no longer be able to do without it. Unmissable, in season, are the fried moeche. A place where important traces of the past of the Maritime Republic and the Serenissima are still evident. Frequented, not surprisingly, by bon vivants from all over the world. 10 and praise.

Probably the best fried fish I've had in a long time. Very fresh fish. I found the desserts, especially the tiramisu, expensive at 13 euros, and the taste was average. The coffees at 3.50 euros also seemed expensive to me. Still, I would return and recommend it for the very fresh fish they work but I would not repeat dessert.

Alle Antiche carampane non si arriva per caso si legge sul sito del ristorante. E’ difficile trovarle tra le calli meno frequentate dai turisti poste tra il ponte di Rialto e Campo San Polo nel quartiere un tempo detto «Carampane» da «Ca'» (casa) e «Rampani», cognome d'antica famiglia patrizia, proprietaria di alcuni stabili. Nello stesso luogo ove ora sorge il ristorante pare che secoli orsono avesse sede una locanda che offriva ristoro agli assidui frequentatori delle case di piacere che numerose si trovavano nel quartiere. Oggi il ristorante, frequentato da turisti ma anche da veneziani offre una cucina tradizionale basata sul pesce che il vicino mercato offre di giorno in giorno. La materia prima è buona come può agevolmente provare la qualità dei piatti di crudo ed in particolare i carpacci. Ottimi anche i primi come i tagliolini alla granseola. Buoni i secondi. Carta dei vini interessante con prezzi onesti; ho apprezzato in particolare il pinot rose’ biologico che non conoscevo ma che ha accompagnato a dovere il pasto dall’antipasto al secondo. Servizio professionale e lontano da quello frettoloso e sgarbato dei locali turistici. Prezzi assolutamente corretti in rapporto a quelli applicati in altre zone di Venezia.

L'accès d'abord : à moins de venir en bateau vous n'aurez pas de problème de stationnement ! Si vous êtes habitué aux avenues et aux rues à l'américaine vous vous perdrez ! Mais bon ça c'est Venise. L'accueil : votre arrivée ne passera pas inaperçu tellement le restaurant est petit. Vous serez vite pris en main. Vous serez un peu serré, et le restaurant est bruyant. Mais vous serez dans l'ambiance... Le service est très professionnel, et rapide. Les assiettes : ne tourne pas autour du pot, c'est excellent !! Je ne saurais trop vous conseiller tel ou tel plat tant tout à l'heure excellent ! Tout est frais, servi à bonne température, des assiettes bien dressées. La note enfin : comptez 110 € pour deux : un antipasti partagé, deux primo plats, un verre de vin une bouteille d'eau minérale, auquel vous ajouterez les couverts et le service payé à part en cash. Alors pourquoi pas la note de 5 sur 5 ? Peut-être réflexe français pour qui 110 € pour unr ambiance de bistrot ça paraît cher. Mais effectivement, à Venise c'est le standard local.
