Small restaurant located near the castle of San Giusto, it welcomes you with a very characteristic environment and some references to its origins and first management. It is necessary to book well in advance. The menu is short, set out and explained verbally with great professionalism and kindness, also suggesting which dishes may not be suitable for a child. We tasted various dishes: for starters asparagus flan with basil sauce, selection of local cheeses with honey and pear and ginger jam, San Daniele ham. First garganelli with a particular sauce based on tomato and speck; then sliced Irish meat and the specialty: pork shoulder with mustard and kren; Potatoes In Tecia. For dessert, tiramisu and millefeuille with Chantilly cream. All excellent. The service was impeccable. Absolutely correct prices for the quality and quantity of the food. We hope to be able to return!

An excellent address for authentic local cuisine.
The location is charming, a bit old style. Yet in good conditions.
The service was outstanding: the lady who took care of us was lovely.
The food: GREAT! The cheese, charcuterie, appetizers, gnocchi, meat, sides, dessert. Everything was good.

Excellent historic restaurant. Very good food - focused on "land" cuisine - little choice but all genuine and aligned with seasonality. Characteristic and unique environment. Friendly staff. A piece of Trieste's history. Reservation recommended due to the limited number of seats. Parking not too easy.

Ottimo servizio e prezzi decisamente onesti.

Such a wonderful restaurant which serves fantastic food👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The starter with artichoke is so soft and tender, the pasta and ravioli are the best I ever had🤌🏻the tiramisu, is so creamy but not too sweet nor heavy.
5 stars is not enough to describe how terrific this place is!

Unique culinary experience in Trieste... I absolutely recommend stopping by to taste the delicacies that this historic Osteria offers.
We had 3 fabulous appetizers, a riot of flavors that Mrs. Michela will be more than happy to explain magnificently.
The San Daniele ham that melts in your mouth will certainly drive you crazy (although personally I like the Modena more).
The seconds, which we took after,
The fassona fillet and the pork shoulder were truly excellent, both melted in the mouth and had a sublime flavor and taste.
Furthermore, the staff is really nice and the environment is familiar, we felt like we were at home with our grandmother.
Everything was so good (including the wine) that we couldn't even take a photo in our eagerness to eat. The price is also much more than fair considering the quality of the experience.
