Alex Ristorante In Lecce

We were by attended by Daniel. Great advisor we got cured salmon plate, fish, and fish tomato soup. We are great gourmet tourist and this is the best by far cuisine in Lecce and I believe one of the three in Europe. Should be 1 star (Michelin).

Disappointed. We were given this place as a recommendation for a fine restaurant that served fish. The food was good and decent, but because of the bad communication with a waiter (who spoke English), we got a very confusing meal with hardly any fish. I felt he did not explain the menu very well. And as the dishes came out, clearly we were confused and the waiter made no attempt to check on us and see if we were ok. It was obvious he was avoiding our table. We tried to eat what we got, but the dishes did not compliment each other. Our small (overpriced) fish was served with nothing. No lemon, no vegetables. If the waiter came to check on us and saw that some of the dishes were hardly touched, a good waiter would have inquired what went wrong. When we finally broke down the bill and figured out what we were actually paying for, he gave no apology for a mistake of communication that left us disappointed with a dinner we were so looking forward to.

The best for those who want to eat quality fish with quality cuisine

Gorgeous restaurant. My friend and I tried the crudo (raw fish which puglia is famous for) and it was an unforgettable culinary experience. I also ordered a recommended dish by the waiter- a main following the crudo which was a risotto with mussels. It was the best risotto I’ve ever eaten in my life (and I’ve traveled to Italy many times!). It had a slight smokey flavour. The chef at this restaurant is in her element!!

Kindness and quality being intolerant to garlic and onion, the very friendly and professional staff were able to satisfy me with home-made dishes that were nothing short of excellent... thank you I will return and recommend it

I recommend! They serve quickly and make recommendations based on your wishes, which turned out to be valuable. We got to the point thanks to Daniel. The prices are quite hefty, but the dishes and atmosphere of the restaurant deserve it. Chef Alexandra - bravo and thank you for a delicious evening.

In generale l'esperienza è stata deludente soprattutto se comparata alle altissime aspettative. Non a caso abbiamo optato per il menù degustazione "fidati di me" che, a nostro avviso, è risultato ben poco innovativo. Per cominciare abbiamo richiesto un crudo abbondante ed il piatto servito, sebbene coreograficamente interessante e con pesce di buon lvello, non ha presentato la varietà di assaggi che ci saremmo attesi. Assolutamente eccellente, invece, il carpaccio scottato di capesante, miglior piatto in assoluto della degustazione. Come primi ci sono stati proposti i tagliolini al limone con tartare di scampi e gamberi e stracciatella, sicuramente discreti ma senza alcuna particolarità e, a seguire, degli gnocchi alla norma che non ci hanno entusiasmato. Come secondo, crostacei al gratin che, francamente, non avremmo mai inserito in carta ed una buonissima guancia di vitello glassato alla soia, piatto anche questo già sdoganato in moltissimi locali. In definitiva, eccezion fatta per le capesante, nulla ci risulterà indimenticabile soprattutto perché nessun altro piatto ha mostrato carattere e creatività. E anche l'abbinamento con i vini, scelta da due di noi, è stato privo di guizzi e di assaggi eccellenti. Una nota a margine sul servizio che è risultato poco coordinato e confusionario sin dall'inizio. In particolare, se sì era organizzata una torta di compleanno per una celebrazione non ritengo abbia senso passare al tavolo per chiedere cosa avremmo gradito come dolce, ancor di più perché avevamo scelto una degustazione. E aldilà di questo, sono mancate proprio il calore e le piccole attenzioni che avremmo gradito (pane, vino, briciole ...). Prezzi davvero alti se si considera il livello complessivo dell'esperienza. In definitiva una distanza siderale da ristoranti del medesimo livello che abbiamo già frequentato.

Ristorante tradizionale con piatti tipici, prevalentemente a base di pesce. Molto buoni anche i dolcetti finali serviti assieme alla tisana… sicuramente da ripetere come esperienza
