AGRITURISMO VENTRICELLI - FATTORIA DIDATTICA In Matera

With a group of motorcyclists we stayed in this wonderful farmhouse for 3 days. A spectacular location immersed in the peace of the greenery around Lake S. Giuliano. The welcome received from the owner Francesco and his family staff was nothing short of above average. The typical cuisine with local flavors literally delighted our palates, with its own products and excellently prepared dishes. The hospitality was above expectations.. For the next "raids" in the beautiful Basilicata this farmhouse show will be our point of reference.... Thanks again for everything at L'Assiolo...

Really calm and quiet place when we stayed for one night with our campervan. Greg and Silvia are great hosts and really passionate about their farm. Highly recommend!

The Agriturismo l'Assiolo was a wonderful discovery. We spent three days with a group of friends for the long weekend of the 8th. We were looking for a place just outside Matera and we found the tranquility of this place and above all the friendliness of the manager Francesco and tried the unforgettable cuisine of Marisa who prepared a dinner for us with homemade dishes. Truly a wonderful dinner that allowed us to taste delicious local products. Thanks again for the welcome!!! The products of the farm are also excellent, starting from the excellent organic oil that Francesco produces with passion and skill, to the jams and olives which were super crunchy, picked and put into jars at the right time. We returned home with the cars full of all these products and the beautiful memories that Francesco left us with his welcome and Marisa with her cooking! Thanks again. P.s. The only thing to be aware of for those coming from the north is not to take the first dirt road that Google Maps suggests because the bridge is not passable. You need to continue and take the road on the other side of the lake, although it is also partly unpaved, it is very well maintained and without potholes unlike the other one which however no longer allows you to get to the Agriturismo.
